Yes, capitalism sucks. I’m not defending it, I hate it. But criticizing capitalism doesn’t mean you have to romanticize and/or accept the label of systems (communism) that also oppressed, starved, and silenced people-- and still do. Don't erase the pain of those who lived through regimes that destroyed lives. ETA: To clarify, I know what communism is. I'm not confusing it with authoritarianism, I am speaking primarily about Authoritarian Communism-- AKA, what most communist governments implement. I am saying that if you are called a communist for being anti-capitalist, that it is not a label to wear with pride. Communism, when implemented in governments, has systematically failed its people time and time again. It, historically, is a bad system, and piling all anti-capitalist systems together under that label takes away from the genuine suffering it has caused people. If you are communist, fine, you are what you are, but don't say you're communist if you aren't.
