ANNOUNCING NEW UNDERTALE FANGAME:
undertale: after dust settles is a fangame set post no king ending in undertale. the ninth human falls into the underground shrouded in regret and devastation...
some years have passed after the human has left the underground, taking the lifes of many monsters. the king and the queen are dead. with the captain of the royal guard and most of the guardsmen dead as well, no one is left to keep the peace. mettaton is dead, so no one is there to give the monsters hope.
with no one to be in charge, the underground has fallen into despair. not murderous ruin like underfell or horrortale, but rather a sad state of no hope. the streets are empty and most monsters hide away in their houses. those who have not been dusted are on the verge of falling down. some monsters that are still aimlessly roaming the streets may attack the human out of fear and despair. healing items are sparse and limited, prices are high, and resources are guarded. no one has killed a monster over those. yet.
but some people, despite everything, still hope for a better future. some want to take advantage of the situation and let themselves into a position of power. some people do not have anything else to live for besides their loved ones.
can the human even do anything? can they even survive? trapped underground with the rest of them, they can only try and try and PERSEVERE.
the game will be divided into three chapters, each containing one area.
the first area is the FLOODED CATACOMBS, a dark area in an abandoned parts of the ruins, full of water and starved monsters lurking around.
the second area is the DELUGE, a rainy forest with a hidden village amongst the trees.
the third area is the DEEP END (sketch is too sketchy to show), located beneath the garbage dump in waterfall. not only the humans' trash ends up there, but monsters' regrets as well, forming into something that may awaken...
the main character is a child with a purple soul and a mysterious past: rish.
the siblings whose bond has been fractured by the events of the past: eweline and murrain.
and some other cast that will be revealed later...
the overworld gameplay will be reminiscent of horror survival games, partially inspired by fear and hunger. you will have to find your way through a convoluted map while enemies chase you down. save points do not restore health, you will have to scavenge for rare healing items.
the most important mechanic is that rish's perseverance allows them to go below one hp, which will help greatly in battles. however, be warned that at harder difficulties death is permanent - when you die, you die, and the run is over.
