Murphy was back at camp but he had unknowingly brought with him an illness that was quite contagious and you had been one of the unlucky few who had caught it.

You were in the drop ship laying on the very uncomfortable metal floor as you started to cough, most people who had caught it at the same time as you were better but your symptoms just seemed to get worse and worse.

“Hey, hey you need to lie on your side” Murphy said trying to roll you over. “No im fine” you say as you continue coughing.

“Come on y/n before you choke” He says frustrated as he rolls you onto your side this time you didn’t fight him on it. “There you go” he says dabbing a wet rag to your pale and clammy forehead he could tell you were struggling. “Thank you.” You say to him sleepily.

“You should get some rest” he says as he continues to dab the clothe on your head. “I’ll be better soon right” you say through half open eyes. He knew how bad your condition was he saw the concerned looks from Clarke when everyone else was getting better and you still were the same as you were when you first came in here if not worse and he couldn’t help but feel immensely guilty that this was happening to you, you had never done anything remotely mean to him or anyone else and this is how you ended up because of him.

“Yeah… yeah you’ll be better soon” he said he didn’t want to lie to you but he also wanted to give you hope so you would keep fighting. “Don’t bullshit me” I say looking him directly in the eyes.

He swallowed hard concern and guilt filling his deep brown eyes, sure you guys hadn’t talked much but you didn’t deserve this. “You have to get better.”

“Everything hurts” you say, it felt like you were getting stabbed all over like you had a thousand paper cuts and bruises. “I know.. I’ll go ask Clarke if she has something fo-“

You cut him off “please don’t leave me.. I’m scared” His heart breaks at your plea. “Ok ok I’m not going anywhere alright” he says as he gently picks up your hand.

“I don’t want to die alone” you say softly, you knew it was coming you weren’t stupid you could see the looks that Clarke and everyone else gave you, you heard there conversations about you when they thought you were asleep wondering if they should just end your suffering now.

“You’re not going to die” he say firmly his grip on your hand tightening a little bit. “I’m here, I won’t leave you alright, you’re not alone”.

You nod your head slowly, tiredly. “Why are you being so nice to me?” You’re not were confused, the two of you had barely talked and here he was offering you comfort as you were on your deathbed.

The question caught him off guard and he wasn’t too sure why he was either. But you had always been kind to him before this before everything even on the Ark so maybe that was why. “I- I don’t know.. I just don’t want you to go through this alone”

You smile softly, “I’m glad your back Murphy” you say. He was confused “after everything I did you’re happy I’m back?” He asked slowly. “You never should have gone through any of that… You were innocent” you replied.

Was this a joke? No ones ever stood up for him before. “No I wasn’t” he protested. “Murphy, they tried to kill you over a crime you didnt commit and then when the real killer stepped forward they were willing to let it slide” you say softly struggling to breathe a bit.

Murphy was surprised at your words, the fact that someone actually thought that. “Well you’re the only one who thinks like that” he says his voice soft almost gentle.

“Well I shouldn’t be” you say coughing a bit more. “You’re not were shouldn’t be punished for reacting the way anyone would have reacted in that situation”

He looks at you grateful that someone finally understood him. “You really think that” he asked as if he thought it was just some joke.

“Ofcourse I do, when they came back and said you had been banished I tried reasoning with them and trying to get them to send a group of people out to bring you back. But it was like arguing with a brick wall” you say softly looking up at him from your spot on the floor.

“You… You really did that for me?” He asked he felt this weird feeling in his chest at the thought of someone actually caring and defending him.

“Of course I did” you responded. “But why.. why would you do that for me?” He asked still confused. “Because you were wrongly accused and almost killed and when you tried to do what they did to you to the actual murder they punished you… we are all each other have down here we need to stick together“ you replied slowly.

“Yeah I guess so… but I’m not really good at teamwork” he says, he had never really noticed that they were all each other had. Everyone else wanted them dead no one really liked them. 

“That’s ok, not everyone is perfect at everything. But with a bit of time I’m sure you can learn.” You say with a smile.

“I’m not sure many people are willing to wait until I learn” he says with a slight chuckle.

“I am” you say without a second thought. “You are” he says surprised. “Yeah… I’m even willing to teach you if you’ll let me” you say smiling softly.

“Yeah.. that sounds great” he says. “Hey Murphy can you promise me something?” You’re not smiling anymore as you speak.

“Yeah what is it?” He says seriously noting that your smile was gone. “When I die can you plant daisies for me somewhere nice with a good view. Daisies were always my favourite” you say softly as you start to cough a bit more.

“Yeah.. Yeah I can do that for you, I promise” tears started to fill his eyes but he couldn’t let you see him upset right now you needed him to be strong. “Thank you, you know I always knew I wasn’t cut out to be living in the forest”

“No, no don’t say that ok you’re strong yeah I mean look how far you’ve made it… you-you just need to hold on for a little longer, yeah?” He knew he couldn’t lose you, you were the first person who actually understood him, he knew that he would struggle to find someone like you again.

You nod but then you go into a coughing fit blood starts coming out of your mouth. “Y/n! Hey hey it’s ok your ok” he says rubbing your back, but you don’t stop “Clarke! Clarke! Hey your alright come on keep your eyes open” hey says his eyes start filling with more tears.

Clarke comes in just as your coughing stops and your body goes limp. Murphy touches your cheek with your hand his eyes blurred with tears. “Nononononono! No y/n.. y/n come on look at me”

You were the first person to defend him to actually understand his side of things. And now you’re gone. It wasn’t fair. Why did he always lose everyone who cared about him what kind of curse had been placed on him for this to happen to him.

~Quite a few months later~

You had been haunting him. He couldn’t lose see you as he moved around it was like you were still here but he knew you weren’t.

The ark had come down now and Finn had killed a grounder village as he had watched on not able to stop him. 

He needed some space so he went out into the forest with you following behind him. At one point the ghost of you turned and walked away so he decided to follow. Eventually he came across a tree and at the base of it grew daisies. Your favorite flower.

He broke down reminded of the promise he made you. He looked up trying to find you. But the ghost that hadn’t left him alone for months was gone…

“Nothing don’t worry about it.” She responded and continued to get her surf board out of the car. You continue to lean against the car and as she closes the boot (trunk for non-aussies) you lift up your surf board showing her.

“I know you’re going to surf stairway, so I’m coming with you.” You said before walking off. “What! No YN I can’t let you do that. Ari would kill me if he found out!” She tried to pull you back but you continued.

“Summer I know you probably don’t see it but you are one of my best friends so if you surf stairway, I surf stairway too.” She knew she wouldn’t be able to change your mind for the short time that she knew you she learnt very quickly that you are very stubborn.

“ok, come on. If we’re going to do this we have to leave now.” And with that you both took off towards stair way. But unknown to you where two things one was that your boyfriend was also on his way to stair way and two you had just made a big mistake that would soon make you wish you never went.

After a very long and exhausting hike to stairway you finally made it. You were waxing your board when you heard steps behind you. “Hello boys.” You heard Summer say as you turned your head to see your boyfriend Ari and his best friend Marlon.

“Summer? YN? What are you doing here?” Ari called out you held your board tight to your side decoding it would be best if you let Ari and Summer work this out but she remained quiet. “you talked to Margo didn’t you? What did she tell you?” He continued. “This is crazy” he said when he still didn’t get a response. Summer started looking down the cliff and when you looked to you saw just how far a jump it was and you started to get nervous.

“Let’s all just go home.” Marlon spoke up. “Yeah we’re going home. Come on YN, Summer? SUMMER!” Ari started screaming when Summer threw her board into the water. You took a deep breath and followed her actions.

For the few seconds that you were in the air you heard Ari and Marlon screaming out after you guys. You hit the cold water and then you felt it. A sharp stab in your back. At first you thought it was from hitting the water but when you tried to swim you couldn’t.

You couldn’t even tell which way was up and which was down. Your vision was blurry from the water but then you realized you were running out of air.

You felt light headed blackness started to crowd your vision the last thing you saw before you passed out was Ari reaching for you.

It had been a week since the incident and you hadn’t talked to anyone with the exception of your parents and the doctors. Summer and Ari tried reaching out but you didn’t want them to see you like this. You felt weak and so stupid for jumping.

Your parents had tried to get you to talk with Ari but you always declined. You knew he would understand of course he would he went through the exact same thing but you couldn’t bare to look at him. He tried to stop you and you didn’t listen, you saw his scar and you promised him that you wouldn’t go jumping at stairway and you did anyway.

You heard a knock at the door interrupting your thoughts. You couldn’t really get out of bed to see who was at the door when you jumped you didn’t go out far enough so when you entered the water there where a bunch of rocks waiting to welcome you. And you ended up paralyzed from your legs down but the doctor said that you would be able to learn how to walk again as soon as your stitches heal.

“Hello?” You could recognize that voice anywhere you didn’t know what he was doing here but you knew that you would have to face him sooner or later.

“In here.” You called back and soon you were staring at your boyfriend. Ari. “Hey Ari.. How are you?”

“Seriously!.. You almost died and you’re asking me how I am?” He yelled causing you to flinch slightly at his voice. “You promised me you wouldn’t surf Stairway. You almost died I had to pull you out of the water! and now you’re fucking paralyzed! Did they tell you that if you had been under the water for a few more minutes you’d be dead!” You froze they didn’t tell you that.

He must have seen the look on your face because his expression softened. “I’m sorry I shouldn’t have raised my voice” he spoke softly as he sat done next to you wrapping his arms around you and pulling you into his chest holding you tight.

“I’m sorry, I’m so so sorry. I shouldn’t have gon-“ You started but Ari shushed you “Stop it’s ok. You did it for Summer. And no matter what I’m always going to be here for you. I love you” he said kissing the top of your head.

<Before dating if you can’t surf> -you guys defiantly met when him and his sisters moved to shore haven before Wren and Ari started dating -you were probably friends with Bodhi and Poppy -you guys would hang out at the beach and you would help them train. -they would always try and teach you to surf but you always refused because your balance is atrocious. -you definitely first met him at the beach. -you were watching Bodhi and Poppy surf when he approached you. -the interaction probably went like this:

“So I’m guessing you’re not a surfer?” You looked to your left to see a guy with pink hair standing over you. “No definitely not” you responded shaking your head. “And just when I thought I found the girl for me” he joked you let out a slight laugh smiling up at him. “Well if you ever change your mind come find me. I’m Baxter” he said holding out his hand you took it “I’m YN” you replayed as he pressed your knuckles to his lips and winking before running off.

-Bodhi and Poppy saw this from the water and wanted details -A few months later at tryouts when you were cheering on your friends you saw Baxter again. -Later at the bbq at the Gibsons. -he kind of cornered you when you were coming back from the bathroom -And he asked you on a date which you accepted

<Dating if you can’t surf> -Would take you on super cute picnic dates at the beach. -On multiple of these dates he’s definitely tried to teach you how to surf - was only successful on one but it did not last long. -Because he decided to take you further out which ended up being way deeper then you could touch the sand -So once you finally stood up on his spare board a wave knocked you over. -and because your not the strongest swimmer especially since in that moment you were panicking -he had to save you which he didn’t really mind. -Because it made him look strong -So after that the dates would be things that you like to do. -Being at all his comps helping hype him up. -Also being there for him when his sisters leave. -And when he finds out the truth. -Comforting him when he’s stressed -I feel like the way you would cuddle is either him between your legs his head on your stomach and you playing with his hair. -or you lying next to him your head on his chest and his arms wrapped around you keeping you close. -Being a bit jealous of how he act’s around Summer -And him reassuring you. -Wren scaring you and being thankful that your not on the surf team.

<Before dating when you’re a surfer> -I feel like the interaction when you first meet would be practical the same -except when you first meet it’s after your try outs heat. -You both ended up on the team

*** You were sitting in the cafe finishing off some last minute homework while Mia was behind the counter making sure that you finished it correctly. You then heard a car pull up outside and turned your head to see Brian walking over. “Mia look who’s here” you teased Mia just stared at you clearly annoyed at you “just do your homework” she huffed before smiling at Brian as he entered the cafe and sat down next to you.

“Homework, huh?” He said looking at your book “mind your own business tuna breath.” You replied not even looking up from your book. A couple minutes later of trying to do maths while having to listen to Brian and Mia talk to each other you heard a familiar sound before turning around and seeing all of Doms friends enter the cafe “hey YN mind if I sit there?” Vince asked while leaning against the counter.

“ But I’m here,” you responded “Just move!” Vince said clearly running out of patience so you packed up your stuff before moving to the other side of the counter “asshole” you whispered under your breath making sure you where just loud enough so that Vince could hear you he looked at you surprised at the response before sitting down next to Brian and starting a conversation about something.

You had only zoned out for a couple of minutes before looking over and seeing Vince and Brian throwing punches at each other.

The fight had gotten the attention of your older brother Dom who hadn’t gone out to stop it yet “DOM! As much as I enjoy seeing tuna breath over there being beat up I don’t really feel like having to deal with a dead body today!” You exhaled looking him dead in the eye for a second before he finally walked out to break up the fight you following him with a glass of water in your hand.

After Dom broke up the fight you threw the glass of water on Vince’s head “what you need to cool off” you chuckled “fuck you YN” Vince said back “HEY. TAKE A WALK VINCE” Dom shouted in his face “and YN get inside” “but-“ “GET INSIDE” Dom shouted losing his patience. You rolled your eyes before giving him the finger and walking off Mia right behind you.

“YN you can’t just do stuff like that.” She scolded. “Come on you have to admit it was funny.” You laughed but stopped when you noticed Mia wasn’t laughing.

“Don’t you have homework” she said stepping back behind the bar. “Already done.” You quickly placed your books into your backpack.

“I’m bored I’m going home” you said slinging your bag over your shoulders. “What, by yourself? But it’s starting to get dark.” She said worry in her tone.

“I’ll be fine I have my bike.” You said confidently and if you were being honest you didn’t think anyone was stupid enough to go after the little sibling of Dominic Toretto.

“You know Dom doesn’t like you riding home alone after 5pm. He’ll kill me if he finds out I let you and then kill you for for being stupid enough to go by yourself.” She said thinking that would be enough to keep you there.

“Well been nice knowing you see you on the other side.” You joked walking out the back door hearing Mia call your name as you secured your helmet before riding off.

It had gotten really dark by the time you were almost home. Normally you would already be home by now but with construction on your normal route you had to take a back alleyway. You knew Dom would already be angry so you decided it best if you kept that part to your self.

As you were pushing your bike up the driveway when you heard a gun fire. You rushed to get inside as you saw the car drive by with someone hanging out the passenger door with a gun but you suddenly you felt a a sharp hot pain in your lower stomach.

You fell to your knees the pain being to much. You heard the car drive off with whoever fired the gun laughing. Was this how you were going to die. You placed your hand over the bullet hole feeling the hot liquid cover your hand looking down you saw your top had turned red.

You where losing blood fast and you knew that you would die, die with out seeing your siblings again, die without graduating, die and miss out on so much but you would be able to see your parents again and knowing that brought you a slight sense of comfort.

“YN! YN!” You heard your name the voice sounded familiar but it was muffled and you thought it was miles away. You saw a bright light of a car but it looked like there were multiple. Then it all went dark you heard nothing and you knew that you had taken your last breath the pain finally going away.

•The others POV•

“Wait so let me get this straight you thought it was a good idea to allow YN to go home alone when it’s almost dark.” Mia had just finished explaining to Dom where you were after he had come back inside with the others and noticed your absence.

“I tried to stop her but she wouldn’t listen and just walked out.” Mia tried her best to defend herself but knew that if anything happened to you she was responsible.

“Ok everyone get in your cars we’re going to my house.” Dom announced to the gang. “Hopefully they’re there.” He whispered that part under his breath not want to stress his sister out more then she already was. He knew that you were probably already there but this was a dangerous town they lived in and Dom had made a lot of enemies, enemies who he knew would do anything to get revenge even bring a innocent teenager into it if it meant it got to him.

As they were driving down the street he and his family lived on he heard two gunshots ring through the air moments apart from each other. He sped up hoping to find you inside the house safe and sound.

Once they pulled up to the house Dom was horrified to see his little sibling on the ground bleeding out.

“YN! YN!” He called out as he approached your body the others only a few steps behind. Mia pushed him aside and knelt down next to you. Your eyes were blank and you were in a pool of your own blood.

Tears started to escape her eyes. “Hey.. hey YN look we’re all here the whole gang is here for you… you’re gonna be alright, yeah.. please say something. YN? Please” Her voice broke this was her fault if she tried harder then you would Still be here.

“YN please I’m sorry I’m so so sorry… YN come on say something” She cradled your head in her lap pushing pieces of her away from your face.

“Mia they’re gone.” Vince said as he tried to pull you away. “NO! NO! They’re not gone… they can’t be.” She cried into Vince’s arms as Dom was comforted by Letty. He wasn’t one to cry but he had just lost his little sibling someone who had practically raised.

Vance picked Mia up pulling her away from your body that was now cold. She continued to cry as Letty led her and Dom inside while Vince, Leon and Jesse handled your body.

•Brian’s POV•

Brian went into the house where they were operating everything the next day no idea about the devastating news he was about to hear about the Teretto family.

“O’Conner my office now.” Sargent Tanner ordered. “What’s going on” Brian asked sensing the seriousness about the situation.

“Do you know anything about a shooting at the Toretto house.” Brian was shocked he knew Dominic had enemies but didn’t think they would try and kill somebody.

“No.. what happened?” Now he was scared what if Mia had gotten injured yes he only knew her for a short amount of time but he was really starting to have feelings for her.

“You know the youngest one.. what was their name again.. uhh-“

“YN” Brian was pretty sure he knew where this was going and he prayed that he was wrong.

“Yeah YN they were shot didn’t make it died within a few minutes.” Sargent Tanner said not a shred of empathy going right back to his cigarette.

“Oh… umm… wow they were so young hadn’t even finished high school yet.” Even though Brian barely knew you, you were still a kid who had done nothing wrong and had actually been getting good grades.

“Yeah sure sure.. oh well that’s one less problem we have to deal with, probably had no future anyway. The killer probably did the world a favor.” The Sargent said not even looking up from the file in his hands.

“What the hell man! Look I know that we’re trying to bust Dominic but YN had nothing to do with what he’s doing ok. They were a good kid and didn’t deserve to die so young.” Sargent Tanner was shoulder by Brian’s outburst.

“Yeah… umm yeah sorry” Sargent Tanner apologized before dismissing Brian.
