Just watched the Legend of Vox Machina and the finale was *chefs kiss* and I need Will and Mike (and party) finale like TLOVM.
(also everyone go watch TLOVM especially S4. It's fantastic. 😝)

Ok so in TLOVM Vecna is actually smart and totally plays Vox Machina. Even if Vox Machina is smart. But Vecna is a master manipulator right.
So in TLOVM Venca manipulates Pike to go against her friends. Then they kill Vecna. But. Turns out Vecna wanted to be killed so he can ascend and be more powerful.
So Stranger Things
Vecna manipulates Will to help him. Maybe shows him visions of everyone leaving him when he comes out. (and we actually see the vision and how painful it is)
Mike finds out and is devastated because why would Will do this? But I think it would be Jonathan who tries to talk to him and shake him out of it. Like "Will what gave you done?" And Will is like if everyone knew my secret they'd leave. And the'yre kind of doing this while fending off Venca and demogorgons and demobats. I want Mike to get Vax's "get fucked" moment. And he does it. And Mike is ready for Vecna to kill him. But instead Vecna goes for Will cause he knows that hurting Will will hurt Mike the most. But Mike can't let Will take the hit and he takes it instead. And this awakens Will's powers. Because despite Will having betrayed everyone Mike still believes in him. So Will drops to the ground on his knees with Mike still in his arms and screams. And there's a wave of power that emanates from him like ripples. But Mike is not dead. He's in a Vecna vision. (Also don't forget that Max is in Vecna's mind too). And Mike's Vecna vision is Will-less. And it starts very mundane. Like every day life. Nothing's wrong. Until he starts noticing little things. Like he's always turning towards someone who isn't there. And there's the painting he has in his room that only has Lucas, Mike and Dustin. And who gave it to him again? Was it El? But El doesn't paint. And he has the binder of Will's art but there are pages that are just blank (used to be Will the Wise art) and why did he save those? And in the basement he has purple robes and a purple wizard hat. But no one in the party ever wore those and they don't have a wizard in their party so who do they belong to? And he remembers a fight in the rain. He was mad at someone but he can't remember who. Meanwhile in the real world Will's power blast either kills Vecna or weakens him enough that they can beat him. But something is still wrong because the demodogs/demobats don't die with him. The connection is still there. They figure out that Vecna's mind is still alive and that they need to kill that too for Vecna to truly die. And luckily they have two inside men. Except Mike is still stuck in his vision. And I think it would be Will's voice that does it (I know very cliche) because no matter what Mike could never forget Will. And at first he doesn't recognize it. "Mike?" He turns to Lucas and Dustin "Yeah?" but they didn't say anything. And it happens a couple more times. And the voice keeps going "Its-" but the name comes out garbled, like he's underwater. But it tells him he needs to wake up. To get out of there. He needs to find Max. Find Max Mike.
Find Max? Yes he can do that.
And I haven't thought as much about the ending but the gist of it is:
He remembers Will/snaps out of the vision. Max tells him they have to kill Vecna's mind. They do so and run to exit his mind (like the portals in the show) while everything is crumbling around them. Venca is defeated (this somehow closes the upside down too). Everyone talks - Will apologizes to everyone saying he was scared and comes out to a few select people. Especially Mike. Him and Mike have a long talk and its emotional and they confess their feelings and then there's kissing. And maybe there's an epilogue of where they're all at. The end. (also, if anyone wants to turn this into a fic I would love to read it 😝😝)
