Ahoy, me Hearties!

SEASON FINALE

    ... and here we are – the end of the line... Mind the gap. Do not step out onto the tracks. Please do not leave your luggage unattended on the station.

     What a ride it has been. At last we got a nice bittersweet happy end, which I honestly wasn´t expecting – I was convinced the finale would be more on the bitter side, more "treasure-islandy" (meaning everybody would lose, no middle grounds, violent men meeting a violent end - that sort of thing). Then again I´m quite a cynical person. Suffice to say my feelings were... mixed. 

     Oh and the last five minutes of the show is where I get to see Mary Read?! Screw you, guys! I like the casting choice though. Still no match for mine :D

     Let´s get serious for a while. As you might have noticed I´m not a particularly good blogger, mainly because of my refusal to communicate in other respects than solely with crackpics, but I though now that Black Sails have ended, I should take the time to talk a bit about the future of this blog. First thing’s first – I´m not going to stop. I still have a few ideas for some season four crackpics that I haven’t been able to make, because I just haven´t had the time. And I still don´t, so my uploading schedule will be quite irregular, much like it was this past month.

     After that I might do a Black Sails rewatch, make some more puns about Charles´s abs (oh, I haven´t forgotten about those!), maybe make some videos, if I can get my Windows Movie Maker to start fucking working. I´m also planning on doing a "What really should have happened to these pirates" histocal(ish) series, once I figure out how to actually accomplish it, so that it fits the tone of the blog (yeah, spoiler alert XD ). Finally, should the blog ever become a bit stale, I might start adding some content that is not exclusively Black Sails related, yet still pirate or "Age of Sail" themed – for example the 2012 Treasure Island miniseries - I think is quite good (shut up, it is) or the Hornblower series or the AC4: Black Flag game (the song in the beginning is from there, listen to it, it plays on the season-finale-feels like a balalaika :)), and who knows, maybe in ten years time Starz will make that Treasure Island spin off...

     Kudos, if you´ve made it this far down my verbal diarrhoea. I have one last announcement to make – in order to celebrate the four years of BS I will be changing my avatar (because I have a ton of silly screenshots and the current one is a bit shit), hope I spared you the shock…
