you’ve sat in bed for the day, already showered and in your pajamas, pulling up your phone to watch something before going to bed. instead, you see a recent text from jongseob.

‘heyyy ill be over in 10 mins :)’

confused, you look through your texts, wondering if you missed a date that was planned.

‘i’m already in bed :( did i miss a date?’

you write back, getting up and trying to ready yourself for whatever your boyfriend was planning.

‘nono and you can be in your pajamas i just wanna be with you’

your heart fluttered at the sweet text and you relax, knowing that you don’t have to get yourself ready for something intricate.

about ten minutes later, there’s a knock on your door. jongseob is standing there, smiling and visibly calmer than he usually is with his busy schedule. he’s wearing a large hoodie and pajama pants (you briefly question if they’re yours).

“you wanna get dinner?” jongseob asks, his hands in his pockets.

“dinner?! seob, it’s almost midnight.” you respond, laughing as you get your shoes and a coat on, anyway.

“well. maybe not actually dinner. i just wanted to go get ramyeon at the convenience store down the street,” he corrects as you both leave your apartment, making your way outside.

“hmm.. yeah that i can do at midnight,” you agree, slipping your hand into the hook of his elbow as you make your way down the street.

you both split off once you enter the 24/7 convenience store, grabbing your respective snacks and drinks. you’re silently grateful for jongseob’s random visit, suddenly realizing how hungry you were.

you meet him by the register and he quickly pays for all of your snacks before you can protest (you still smack his shoulder playfully). you set your stuff down at the counter near the window, heading to fill your bowls of ramyeon with hot water.

you’re both sharing moments of your day as you wait for your noodles to cook. jongseob quietly talks about how long his day has been: practicing, recording, dance practices…

“i went straight to you once they let me leave,” he says, tone playful yet genuine. “i haven’t seen you all day,” he sighs, slightly dramatic as he leans into your side. you flush as your heads knock together slightly.

“well. at least you know that you can always come over to my place,” you assure him as you both make your way back to your seats.

you both sit down, silently eating together and sharing bites of your snacks. you didn’t realize how much you needed a moment like this; a soft, quiet, and relaxed moment with your favorite person.

you’re both satisfied on your slow walk back to your apartment, hands intertwined as you carry the rest of your snacks.

there’s no conversation about jongseob staying over, but he still follows you into your apartment, slipping his shoes and coat off as you close the door behind you.

jongseob wraps his arms around your waist and you return the embrace around his neck. he leans onto your shoulder and you feel him relax into you.

“thanks.. for letting me bother you in the middle of the night..” he mumbles. “i really needed a break.”

you laugh softly, gently kissing the crown of his head. “you don’t have to thank me. i’m your boyfriend. you can bother me whenever you want,” you say, repeating your assurance from before.

jongseob looks up at you from your shoulder. he presses a kind, grateful kiss to your lips, seemingly giving all of his emotion into the kiss.

“let’s go to bed. it’s late,” you whisper, pressing your foreheads together.

once in bed with your boyfriend, you realize how grateful you are for these moments. even though you were exhausted, you had a caring guy who wanted to see you and be with you. you were definitely living your best life.

hello... do not take this seriously i was bored and pulled this out of my ass 💔 also this was completely born out of me and @007chan 's oomfcoming story so i believe this makes me anton and everyone who reads this is dating me. heart emoji (not proofread!)

at 10:08 pm, anton was staring at his laptop, 'how to make your crush like you back' written in bold italic was staring back at him— the bright screen making him even more agitated.

he wasn't the one to search for answers on the internet, especially not on some website called girls asking dot com. but times were tough and anton was desperate.

one might dare to ask what even got him in this position, and the long answer to that would be; anton has had a crush on one of his classmates for the past seven months, and he's scared to talk to his friends because they'll tease him for hours.

the short answer to that is; he's a pussy.

but! a guy has to have some fear here and there, that's what keeps you in check after all. maybe not. but it's the feeling that's important or whatever.

so anton took a deep breath, scrolled down and started reading the long list to get this over with.

one: treat them like a friend.

two: compliment on something deep.

three: eye contact.

four: ask questions.

five: talk to your friends.

five whole topics and not a single one of them would work. who the hell had even written this? even a first grader could think of these and more and get with their crush. the last part was roasting anton himself but the truth hurts, just like how his eyes were hurting from squinting. the truth hurt probably more though.

anton huffed and closed his laptop, picking his phone up instead because the radiation wasn't enough. maybe he should ask his friends? but asking them meant anton had hit a new low, and he wasn't really interested in digging deeper.

but maybe he was.

putting his phone down, anton laid down and stared at his ceiling, when the best idea he's ever had popped up in his brain. he'd do everything on text. because of course texting was easier, and anton was a good texter, said humbly. so he opened up his notes and started writing down his plan.

satisfied with his plan, anton got to work. first, he stalked gyuvin's following, but he couldn't find anyone who could be yn. so he was forced to go through sohee's hundreds of followers, because everyone was following sohee.

he tapped on sohee's account, already dreading the ache that would fill his thumb later, when he found it.

there it was, in all its glory, user purinpilled.

just as he was about to hit follow, he stopped. would that be weird and freaky, or like, overly disgusting? but if he didn't follow yn now, he wouldn't do it ever. and not doing it meant seeing yn get married and die happily with someone else, so he hit follow and threw his phone towards his nightstand, too nervous to care if it even landed on it or not.

the moment anton opened his eyes, he scrambled to get his phone and check if yn had followed him back. thanks to last night's anton, finding his phone took a whole good eight minutes. and he had done all that searching for nothing because there wasn't any notification from yn.

maybe it was a glitch or because he hadn't updated his apps yet or something, but there were no needed updates when he checked, so he went on instagram to see for himself.

well he did see for himself— that his followers count hadn't moved.

but it was okay! this was only day one. he could just change up his plan a little bit and like everything they posted. maybe that was bordering creepy, but if a person's pure of heart no one would misunderstand their intentions.

so anton went to liking.

yn's reposts were the only things that would come up after a while, and anton took that as his cue to stop so he wouldn't get blocked. while waiting, anton went over his plan once more.

four weeks was a lot. a whole ass month to ask someone out was ridiculous. maybe he could bring it down to three weeks. two and a half. one week.

listen. one week was plenty of time to ask someone out. seven days. seven whole days to plan everything. it was awesome.

you know what would be even more awesome? yn following him back. so anton decided to spend five days (including today) to make yn follow him back, and two days on the date itself.

so anton posted everything he could while waiting between each post so it would become acceptable. maybe yn would look at his stories, maybe they would come across something anton had reposted so the latter could find out if they had anything in common.

but when someone who doesn't post at all starts posting, an eyebrow raise comes naturally. so he didn't have much time until one of his friends questioned his actions.

but for now, all he had to do was wait for yn to post.

and boy, post they did.

the second that bisexual flag looking circle appeared around yn's profile picture, anton clicked on it. and there stood yn's own personal real-not-fake twitter account.

so anton did what he had to, and followed yn on there too.

that was probably the angels granting anton a wish or something, because now he would learn more about yn than he ever could. again, anton went on a not-stalking-but-more-like-checking-out spree, trying to memorize everything the posts said.

but being a living person meant responsibilities and socializing, so after hours of research-scrolling, anton had to put his phone down.

but it was fine, he could deal with not obsessing over internet posts for a few hours.

a day had passed without anything happening. no follow back, no watching anton's story, nothing. and anton had decided that it was enough, he would take matters into his own hands.

and ask yn to follow him back.

before this ruffles some feathers! anton was still sticking to his plan, things had just gotten mixed up. and the first thing on the plan was follow first, ask out later.

so he waited for yn to post on somewhere, and when they did, he would comment something to soft launch the concept of oomfness. did that make sense?

when yn had finally posted, anton had decided that he had one minute to come up with something that would make him memorable at least. but he was never good under pressure, so the best thing he could come up with was 'i have an oomf crush on you.' which was two truths meshed together, so... yay for anton?

after sending his comment, anton, hit with immediate embarrassment and regret, once again threw his phone away. such nostalgia...

and since he didn't have anything better to do, anton put on a show and tried to nap for a while to get his nerves to calm down a bit.

anton seemed to have developed a routine, his last few days consisting of sleeping, waking up and going on yn's accounts to do some research.

but his researches have been for nothing, since there still wasn't anything from yn. so anton decided to grow some balls and just do it. before he could change his mind, anton logged into his twitter and sent yn a message.

okay, maybe he had sent more than a message and might have fucked up all his chances... but! a confession was a confession, and he had done it no matter how and what the outcome.

all he had to do was wait for an answer. he could wait for an answer— anyone could wait for an answer.

but luckily (question mark) yn had replied pretty quickly. but them being this quick had raised anton's blood sugar and his heart beat. he really had to see a professional for those soon.
