And that's not Hornet's deal. She wouldn't even qualify as one of those vampires that's eternally stuck as a teenager. Hornet DID grow up at one point, we see her in a much younger form, a 'baby' form. And we can even see her 'grow' again in canon, specifically in weaver queen. If she eats GMS.

Hornet isn't some mythical beast taking the form of a child, and she's not even technically incapable of growth. It's just that growth for her species beyond a certain point seems to require a large amount of power / possibly specifically power from another pale being. And Hornet ultimately despite having access to that power, makes the call that she'd rather remain how she is, she chooses to willingly avoid ascension because it isn't what she wants. That's a different thing to either of the prior options though, it's a case where growth is entirely possible for Hornet, but requires a price she is unwilling to pay.
