Being known. It's not comforting. It's disturbing. Makes me feel like he's under my skin. Like my face is peeling off somehow and something... or someone else is just waiting... decaying there.
Ok, I don't know if I'm crazy or if this book actually exists.. I read it a few years ago and haven't been able to find it since. It was by either and Indian or a Sri Lankan author, I think? The title was something along the lines of "the ghosts of the past," if I'm right.
It followed a queer protagonist who moved to England (I think???) With his family. He feels out of place, discovers his sexuality when he finds a pamphlet on homosexuality and decides to experiment. The rest of the book is him trying to reconcile the differences between who he is, who his family wants him to be, and who he is allowed to be within queer spaces.
I've been trying to find it for years and now I'm starting to doubt it it even exists.
I was being cancelled because apparently it was classist to put feathers on dinosaurs.
Both dream me and irl me were very confused.
it might have been a dream, but feathered dinosaurs being linked to an ideology isn't that uncommon. Them being viewed as "leftist", "woke" or "gay" has occured several times.
I collect these examples.
reblog if you like dinosaurs, are gay, or just really like feathers

reblog this to make a terf angry
More importantly: reblog it to make a trans woman feel better
not to sound preachy but iβve never seen anybody rebutΒ βmake a terf angryβ withΒ βmake a trans woman feel betterβ andβ¦ thatβs kind of tumblrβs attitude towards trans women summed up as concise as possible. more people should strive to be the second thing because the first is performative and lazyβ¦ thank u discourser-of-kruphixβ¦
reblog it to make a trans woman feel better
Say you break your ankle. You could know everything there is to know intellectually about the injury. Even with this vast knowledge, you will still experience physical pain.
Now take this logic and apply it to things like ADHD, autism, clinical depression, and other less visible/divergent disabilities. You cannot think your way out of feeling.
That is to say: you are not a bad, lazy, or selfish person for struggling, even if you know why you are struggling.

I want to share my deepest, most ridiculous thoughts with someone. I feel I need to. For otherwise, I will be lost to the sands of time. Alone. Living a life which will end, and disappear in the blink of an eye.
I wish I had someone who would sit with me in that unused corner of the old library, or at a tiny, cozy cafΓ© sipping tea as we read and talk in hushed voices, or even high up on the roof where we're all alone and no one can reach us, and just sit together in that wonderful silence that envelopes two people in love.
I want it, and yet I do not know how to bring myself to do it, to cherish it.
I fear I do not even know how to earn it.
And so I shall remain, forever doomed to roam the starless seas, lost to the world, and lost to myself.
