Bristol flopped back on her bed with a heavy sigh. “Are the holidays over yet?” She asked knowing that she was being dramatic but she was over the holidays and constantly having a long list of things to accomplish.

“Thank god they are.” Brylan let out a sigh as he dropped down next to her. Much as he loved his family, he needed a few days without all of them together. Especially now. He hadn’t exactly felt the same since his brother turned up, the very twin that he always thought was dead. And while getting to know Darian was great, it felt like a dream. Letting out a heavy breath, Brylan shut his eyes as he put an arm behind his head. “Please tell me we don’t have to leave the house the next couple days.” 

“Parker is also Parker, who shouldn’t be listened to,” Bristol reminded him as she walked over in order to drape her arms around his shoulders, “I love you, Bry. What can I do to make it more obvious?”

“You don’t have to do anything.” Brylan promised, putting his arms around her and kissing her forehead. “I’m sorry, he got in my head, I got worried. I’m an idiot.”

“Uh huh, so says Bristol who isn’t exactly unbiased about the manner. I mean it makes sense that she cares about what you think of her though.”

“I know she’s not unbiased, but she doesn’t have to be. But Tasha’s been worried about what I think about her for a long time, for some reason. It’s weird.”

“Dude as much as I love you there’s no dick magical enough to make me leave her. Especially when I have no idea if you’re a good enough lay to even be competition against her.”

“Yeah I’m fine, why? What’s going on?”

“Probably because she’s never loved anyone as much as you and it scares her. I know it terrifies me when I think about Natasha.”

“It scares me too with Bristol. But I don’t think you have to worry about Tasha. Any time I’m around her, she gets all awkward because she thinks I could make you leave her, like I’d ever dream of it.”

“Of course we can,” Bristol told him as she looked up at him with raised eyebrows.

“I just wanted to make sure we’re okay.” Brylan admitted. “You’re okay, right?”

“I think she’s just afraid of breaking your heart. It seems to be her worst nightmare.”

“I don’t know why she’s still worried about that.” Brylan sighed, shaking his head. “I keep telling her it shouldn’t be.”

“I think you’re more important to her than anything else, even Natasha no matter how much the girls joke about it. She just doesn’t want to make you hate her either.”

“Does she really think I could hate her?” Brylan sighed heavily, running a hand over his face, “yeah, I’ll talk to her. I don’t want her to think that.”

“I think that Bristol is worried she’s going to hurt you though. I know Natasha wouldn’t leave me, but I also know she wouldn’t say no to having Bristol.”

“She’s always worried about hurting my feelings, I probably need to talk to her about it. If it’s something she really wants, I’m not gonna be the asshole that says no and have her resent me for it.”

“You saw that like your mom’s side doesn’t add to the asshole tendencies.”

“They definitely do, I was just choosing to pretend I ever stood a fighting chance.”

“Except I know where I stand on the entire thing, but not you.”

“I don’t know, Park. They joke about it enough to think they’re serious and then Bristol apologizes for it, so I can never tell if it’s something they actually want or not.”

“I can too if I’m being honest with myself. I’m just lucky you got enough of your mom’s side to balance it all out.”

“I have just enough of mom’s side to keep me from being entirely unbearable, but not enough to outweigh anything.”

“No, it was more Leia telling me to allow myself to be happy which is strange. But I guess that’s something?” Parker shrugged his shoulders, “But you have to want it too.”

“Oh no, don’t put that only on me, that’s weird.”

“How did it feel to have your sister threaten you into a poly amorous relationship? Because I gotta admit that’s a new one.”

“I’m gonna assume you don’t mean Cassie, because threatening her brother to be poly with her ex-girlfriend sounds like a stretch. But considering Reagan’s done it to me, I see what you mean.”

“I don’t know if it’s a good thing to be a lot like me though.”

“It might not be, but here we are.” Brylan laughed, shrugging. “I can think of worse things than taking after you, anyway.”
