02.10.2017 - Mental Depression in Pilipino-American communities. I shot and edited all these photos posted here. These pictures were shot to portray mental illness, primarily mental depression, in Filipino-American communities. My focus of my shots were to bring forward the essence surrounding most 2nd generation Filipino-Americans growing up with parents who do not treat mental illness as a legitimate ill-condition, and it becomes difficult to communicate with parents about this until it has already occurred. On a side-note, I really find something beautiful in capturing photos in dim-lit settings. I do have more to write about the pictures and my progress, but I'm saving that for my writing portion of the assignment.
12.22.2016 - Holy Angels 09 group's 1st Christmas Potluck/White Elephant. Shoutout to my boy Matt (guy on the right end of the bottom pic) for hosting our thang at his place. So exciting to catch up with these guys who I practically grew up with throughout grade school. Although some things never change, such as Kim's extreme Filipino tardiness. The gifts were pretty good, the drank was there, the memories still memorable. One thing I remember, I kept slowly passing out cuz we weren't really doing anything and josh kept going, "braannDOONNN WAKE THE FUCK UP!" And I just got up again on point and continued on. Lmao. Good times though, never thought the shyest kid who everyone bummed snacks and lunchables off of at recess would peer pressure me to keep drinking? Hahaha good shit though. Btw, Josh is the only Indian kid in this photo.
12.09.2016 - Annual ChaseFam Christmas Potluck/White Elephant Gathering. This post I'll only describe with these pictures I post. Good vibezzz😌.
11.11.2016 EC's club event at this club (forgot the name already?) nearby Fisherman's Wharf in SF. For once I was able to get smashed because it was somewhere I can uber at a reasonable cost. I hadn't wild out in hella long before this event, and it felt pretty good actually LOL. Pretty interesting night from what I heard the next morning...I got to meet my ateh Misty's best friendz from the 619. They my best friendz now. LOL jk Misty if ya see this😝. Anyways, nice outing overall. I should be out there doing more ratchet things but it's so expensive spending money while ur drunk cuz you only end up realizing how much you spend the. Why morning. I remember buying a round a shot for these random Asian girls who I never saw again after that. Other than that, just enjoying the nice ratchet vibes heh.

I forget the dates because I waited so long to post this lol. Anyways, we wanted to go visit a pumpkin patch during Halloween-ish season, but we ended up going everywhere but a pumpkin patch that day haha.
10.26.2016 - Guada's Birthday(& my Belated) Turns out that Guada's birthday is only THREE days after mine! That's crazy! I never knew how close our birthdays were. PJ hit me up that weekend to greet me happy birthday and wanted to have an open invite to ChaseFam for a dinner. I suggested having a combined dinner to celebrate both mine and Guada's birthday (I saw her birthday on FB's list of upcoming October birthdays lol). Surprisingly, this planning of the birthday dinner went smoother than I thought! It turned to be a pretty decent amount of the fam showing up. Unfortunately, PJ, the one who suggested the dinner, couldn't make it haha. It was nice catching up with everyone, I mostly realized how much I missed hanging with my line, specifically Ceycey, Yvezee, and Elise. I wasn't expecting going to B'dubs afterwards, and then having cake with beer and Jameson (ehh...LOL).
10.14.2016 - ChaseFam Fall '16 Pick-Ups I'm a little tired and gonna be lazy with this post, and maybe the next few following ones as well. - Picked up SIX NEW fam members into ChaseFam. - I got my first set of GRAND LITTLES, THREE NEW ones! - 32 ChaseFam members and counting - I guess we have decided on the name of the line that stems from Ceycey: #BURNTLine🌚 - Got to spend time with 2 of my new grand littles the week after revealing. We just got tacos on Taco Tuesday hehe - Hella random, I ran into my old manager at the airport while getting tacos lol
09.10.2016 - 09.12.2016 Chicago, IL My brother Bryan had a business conference in Schaumburg, IL, and had asked me if wanted to tag a long with him to check out Chicago. I've been to Chicago the year before, so I agreed to go with him because it would be his first time in Chicago. So what had happened was we had booked THREE different hotels for each night we were there. The hotel we stayed at on our last night in Chicago was paid for by my brother's company. All we had to do was find a hotel for the Saturday night we arrived (09/10) and the following Sunday night. When I checked which Hilton hotels were available for a reasonable cost, it was only the Hilton Chicago (South Loop) for Saturday night. Moving closer towards date of trip to Chicago, turns out a lot of people cancelled their reservations so there was our same hotel room (for an affordable rate) available for the two nights. It was too late to change it though because my brother just ended up doing the Priceline Express deal for the 2nd night. That hotel turned out to be The Hard Rock Hotel. Anyways, most of these pictures depict our first night and half of our 2nd day in Chicago. We ended up doing more stuff but I forgot to take pictures and ended up mostly snapchatting videos of what we did. Lots of bar hopping, tasting local beers, and just trying to figure out what the typical Chicago citizens do for fun. We mixed it up a bit during our 3rd day (09/12) when we got our rental car. We took a mini road trip to Kenosha, Wisconsin---I know, the most random place to travel to. Tell me about it. The only reason we had decided to drive there was because one of my friends (who shall not be named at the moment) recommended it as a substitute to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Don't even bother going there---matter of fact, don't even bother going to Wisconsin. Absolutely nothing there, and a ton of places close early (approximately 9pm). Honestly, the cheese was not that great as everyone makes it out to be. Perhaps maybe I tried the wrong places though; I could be wrong. I have more to say, but there's just too many thoughts going through my head right now.
09.02.2016 To the pictures that didn't quite make it to Instagram. My brother Bryan (one on the right) and I flew out to Portland to meet with our other brother Scott (one in the middle) for his birthday. The first thing he wanted to do was hike Eagles Creek to Tunnel Falls. Little did I know, that hike was actually a 12 mile hike round trip--not a 6 mile hike round trip. The trail towards Tunnel Falls was not all that bad (in terms of gradation changes), it was just lengthy and never ending. The rocks were killer on the feet! So many jagged rocks, and I remember seeing people hiking back with their dogs! Their poor paws! Anyways, the worst part of the hike was definitely the storm. Yes, an actual thunderstorm. Although the rain was refreshing to feel due to the lack of drought occurring in California, it sucked hiking back from the falls in the rain. I was poorly prepared and packed like a fool (as you can see in the pictures above). I think the only thing that allowed me to withstand the conditions of our hike was the weed we had brought along for our journey lol. On top of that, Bryan had hurt his knee so we were going a little slower than normal to accommodate him on the way back from the falls. Once we got back to the hotel I took the LONGEST hot shower ever! It felt so refreshing, but my body was still so sore all over and I had drenched clothes still. Overall, it was fun experience and I would definitely go back. I just would stay longer to recover more from those long hikes lol.

08.11.2016 - Day I Hopped onto The A'z Bandwagon My manager had hit me up the day before and asked if I wanted a free suite ticket to The A'z baseball game. I'm not really much a fan of baseball, but I decided, "Free food, free drank, free suite tickets bougie ass living? Sure, I'm off why not?" I was a little hesitant because I was under the impression that I'm going to be watching this game with other random people so I asked my manager if I could bring a plus one. I hit up hella people who woulda been interested, but nobody responded except for a Jezza (she a real one btw). She called in sick to join me haha that's why she a real one. It. Was. A. Fucking adventure just to get our suite tickets and then find the suite we were in. As I opened the door, I soon began to realize this was an employee event for those who were off. It was awkward and weird as fuck. Nobody was talking to each other, and the game was going real slow. On top of that, my plus one fell asleep during the game -___-. Future note, although a friend may be dope to kick it with, bring a friend who's actually interested or doesn't fall asleep during times when you kick it. Forreal like the second time that has happened lol. Overall though, pretty dope experience watching baseball from a box. A nice little perk that work has. Mellow day, mellow day, mellow day....
07.25.2016 San Diego Day Trip. Probably the best part of my SoCal trip to be honest.
07.24.2016 Really random day. We moved outta our hotel in Glendale since we only had tickets for one day at Universal Studios. We ended up driving around LA, exploring the stuff we normally didn't get to see whenever we drove down to Irvine to visit my brothers. We stopped by at vista point on Mulholland Dr and had a little photoshoot with my Ma, little bro, and of course myself. We saw the fire going on near Lancaster from there, and it was just astonishing seeing how big the fire got. Later went to UCLA and tried to get a tour for my little brother to check it out. Turned out to be a complete fail LOL. Practically no one was on campus and there was a large event going on that was only for people entering the master program at UCLA. My mom was obsessed over the architectural buildings on UCLA's campus, and she wanted pictures of herself and buildings at each turn she got. Later, I treated my family out to North Italia in Irvine. It was probably some of the best Italian food I ever had...or maybe I was just too drunk to know any differences??? I got pretty drunk before dinner, but it was well needed for other reasons. Anyways, good day for pics and other stuff.
07.23.2015 The night before we arrived in Glendale to stay at the Embassy Suites I reserved for my fam. The next day (the 23rd) we all went to Universal Studios--I mostly went for Harry Potter stuff haha. We all just tried having a good time though, because it seems like my family and I were in dire need of a quick getaway vacation from the Bay Area. Anyways, this day consisted of a lot of standing around in long lines nearly 2 hours wait to go on a ride that literally lasted 45 - 60 seconds...Well, except for the Studio Tour. That was pretty much worth the wait time. We got back to the hotel and we were all exhausted. I think I fell straight to sleep once we got there. Overall, fun and tiring day.
07.14.2016 - 07.15.2016. Summmaa Time. 1) 07.14.2016: - Lounging around in my house on my day off and luckily my twin was in my area and hit me up to eat and catch up. Went to Tselogs in Daly City, ate, caught up with each other. Then we went to Mitchell's ice cream in SF cause twin never been (like da fuq??? How could u not have had Mitchell's before??? Lol). Anyways, it was nice sitting there on brick chatting bout life for awhile, and then we drove up to Twin Peaks because it was sunny. It was not sunny....The fog had just rolled in once we got up there. Afterwards, I went to GameStop to buy Dying Light (video game) and went back to my place to play for about 5 hours. Elise was too shy to eat in front of my fam cuz my mom kept insisting to eat but she refusing and breakin' the unspoken Asian house rule of always accepting offering of cooked food when at another person's place lol. 2) 07.15.2016: - I finally had my eye doctor appointment downtown in SF, just so I could get my eye glass prescription renewed. So annoying. Had to get my eyes dialated and everything. When I was about to leave they were asking if wanted some disposable shades, but the other receptionist there persuaded me otherwise that I didn't need it. I walked outside and I was like, "FUCK. The sidewalk is so bright." I had to walk from Union Square to the Embarcadero blind as fuck to go have lunch with my Ma for her lunch break---hence the pictures she took where my eyes are cringed. She kept wanting to take pics even tho I told her multiple times I cannot see/open my eyes lol. So sweet tho, after lunch she was offering to help walk me over to the Bart station because my eyes were still dialated lmao. Got home and just closed my eyes for a bit because of the harsh light lol.

05.21.2016 & 06.16.2016 These were both chill days. Lol sad I don't really have a caption for these. Kind of too lazy to create something at the moment.
05.05.2016 - 05.07.2016
Seattle, Washington.
I can finally check this place of my To-Go list! This was a dope ass visit even if it was just for a short while. I would definitely revisit again in the summer to do more stuff. My brother and I got kinda lazy one Friday because we realized marijuana was legal here haha. It was just such a good time away from the Bay Area for a bit.
So much to say. My only regret was not getting lit before going through the Chihuly Glass Museum LOL. Good bro-bonding time here in Seattle though, and I guess that’s what made me love this experience even more.
List of Activities of what I remember right at this moment (07-May-2016; 07:26PM):
- Tequila (Avion) tasting at our hotel once we got there - Me and my brother always wearing the fancy bath robes whenever we got the chance to - Space Needle & Chihuly Glass - Picking up Weed at Uncle Ike’s Pot Shop - Smoking weed in our bedroom and almost getting kicked out - Bar hopping around Capitol Hill (Washington’s version of Berkley) - Taking a pickleback shot for the first time - Having bombast torta while buzzed - Donuts from Lola that were delicious af
Messed up, and posted on the wrong blog haha
