It was raining. That’s all it seemed to do everyday.  The one week you were in town. “I’m gonna take you to the beach.” He told you on the phone. “I want to go swimming with you.”

It made you laugh. He didn’t know how you did it. Jermaine complained to him once, how loud you were.  They were on tour staying in some cheap hotel, a few miles from Nashville. The traveling made him tired, so he sat on the balcony and sipped ice water, watching the sun set over the parking lot.

The girls were there. A few fans.

And you.

Tito was sitting on the plastic chair next to him. He followed Jackie’s gaze and smirked. 

“Your girl’s got some lungs.” He said. “I can hear her all the way from the parking lot.”

“You jealous?” 

“Maybe.” He grinned. “You gonna share her?” 

You laughed again. They both turned to look. It was something Jermaine’s girl told you, whatever her name was. You were throwing your head back, holding your chest like you were in pain. Tito grimaced. 

For a moment, you looked up at him. Your eyes met. He could see your nipples through your shirt. 

You flipped him off.
