What is one thing that you wish people understood about you?

That just because I like being alone most of the time doesn’t mean I dont want to be around them at all.

How I want love and affection but i push it away when I get it and people think I don’t like them when I do but it’s really hard for me

That me being a black woman doesn’t make me any less sensitive to the hurt that you cause me even if you don’t mean it.

That even though I know I want you it’s scares the hell out of me so don’t give up on me

That I make a conscious choice to be nice. I don’t have to be.

That it’s hard for me to let go of the hurt I’ve experienced but I’m trying really hard to heal

That my mind makes weird connections and sometimes they get said out loud and don’t makes sense to other people but I’m still intelligent.

I feel this on levels ^^

That I’m glad to give affection to those I love yet at times, I’m afraid to give it and that doesn’t mean I love them less, it just means that I’m still in the process of embracing love’s true nature

that just because i don’t show love in the same way that they do; doesn’t mean its not there. 

That I have my own things going on. And I’m not obligated to forget about what I have going on to make them happy for a day.
