Enos has presumably been around since the genesis of Fananggar, ruling from their floating tower; the Solitary Citadel. Little is known about them, aside from their neutral stance on the affairs of the world, merely observing the lands beneath their throne.
Many theories of how Enos and Fananggar came to be are known and shared by the Keepers, but no true answer has been found. Some say they are the offspring of the primordial forces of Law and Chaos, a being who wandered the empty realms before deciding to create Fananggar on a whim. While others theorise that Enos is one of many divine beings that have ruled this land before passing it onto another. There is no one true answer. It merely is the way it is.
âForced to the back foot, the Knights of the Dawn's Storm, clad in their armor of white with grey skies, gave their mighty cry. "There are no obstacles. Only different paths! Guide us, Listener!" With that, the scourge began."
- Fasys Ulthohar
South of Tobair, and west of the Solitary Citadel, Domhan Airgid is the largest settlement on the continent. Domhan is the center for agriculture and trade in Fananggar, and is renowned for its elite defenders dedicated to Enos. The âDawnâs Stormâ protects the city and its inhabitants from the many external threats that endanger the Domhanians, all while keeping Enosâ tenets in mind and acting how the One God demands of them.
Many public temples, monestaries and shrines can be found around Domhan, all to worship Enos, the âone who gives [them] lifeâ. Furthermore, Domhan houses a prestigious arcane academy (Feenaâs Institute) for budding wizards and clerics alike to learn spells to help progress the cityâs development.
Located on the western side of Fananggar, Tobair is the second-largest settlement on the continent. Nestled in the middle of the ever-growing the Wilds, Tobair is fairly hidden, despite the many roads leading to the city centre, which leads to a lot of non-natives getting lost while traveling to the City of Green.
Built upon the ruins of the the Old World, and home to the The Elders, the most powerful adventuring group on the continent, Tobair is a city to behold with people traveling from Domhan Airgid, Reylig Rest, and many more to witness its beauty, history and strength.
Though the city is not without its issues, small groups of spies, representing the Custodians of the Flame, have begun to appear, wreaking havoc and causing mass panic.
Notable Groups
The Elders
âWe will never stand down, we owe this to all of the kind folks who allowed us to sleep and eat in their homes. We owe this to our friends who helped us overcome our troubles. We will win!"
- The Elders
The Elders are the epitome of good, hardworking adventurers that everyone should aspire to be like. Starting at the bottom of the food chain, clawing their way to the top, the Elders are the world's strongest adventurers who try to do the best for Fananggar and its citizens. Not much is known of the Elders' true personalities, but they present themselves as altruistic, paragons of good fighting against evil.
Elders Members List:
Aurora, the Archpriest.
Saarvin, the Champion.
Feena, the Archmage.
Adrian, the Crusader.
Mischa, the Visionist.
Council of Five
Tobair is represented by the Council of Five, who govern from the The Tower. These are five democratically elected citizens of Tobair that represent different regions in the city, and help run the city alongside the The Elders. The members change every 7 years with a public vote of who should replace the previous members.
Notable Locations
The Tower
Government Building
The Tower is the grand keep of Tobair, located in the southwestern corner of the city. While it historically served as a military fortress, by the modern age it was home to nearly all of the city's governmental business. Despite its primary role as a civic building, the Tower catered to all Tobairians. It served as a meeting place for the city's wealthy nobles, a festhall for large feasts and gatherings, as well as a sort of "secular temple" dedicated to the The Elders.
The Crossed Hands
Tavern
The Crossed Hands is the establishment most frequented by mercenaries and adventurers, and as such it's the rowdiest and most dangerous place to stay in Tobair. At the same time, its taproom is the best spot in all of Fananggar to get leads on profitable ventures, along with the latest news and rumors.
The inn's proprietor, a retired sellsword named Cormac Lydon (neutral dragonborn warrior veteran), knows full well the cycles of an adventurer's life. He often cuts a break for customers who are between jobs, allowing them to stay here on credit and then presenting them with a bill inflated by interest charges to be reckoned with as soon as they make their next payday. Those who don't settle their accounts discover that the old mercenary still knows how to handle a blade, and that he doesn't take "later" for an answer.
The Silver Boot & Cyclops Shuteye
Inns
Both the Silver Boot and Cyclops Shuteye are ran and owned by the Council of Five. Under this agreement, adventurers and travelers alike are permitted to stay and rest in the respective inns, but must leave an offering and clean up after themselves before leaving.
Each inn is fairly similar, with public baths, group rooms filled with straw beds, and a kitchen for making ones own food. While the citizens of Domhan Airgid see this method as 'lesser', Tobair has made it work for generations, offering a more inviting, casual agreement with it's visitors.
Dragonâs Heat
Blacksmith
Dragon's Heat is a single storey building of timber and brick walls, with a slate roof and dwarf-wrought iron furnishings. A monolith of hewn and hacked stone stands beside the building. Cynfre (good human knight) is the cynical shopkeep, who is always seen wearing a collection of protective charms and talismans.
Hammer & Gouge
Carpenter & Cartwright
The Hammer & Gouge sees a lot of work in the city of Tobair, with the majority of the structures and tools being made from wood, due to itâs abundance. The shopâs proprietor is Gilroy Bohan, a master of his craft, has been running the shop for 50 years since his father passed, carrying on the famous Bohan name.
Frontierâs Expeditions
Wilderness Guide
Frontier's Expeditions offers all manner of survival equipment and gear, including maps of surrounding areas. The establishment is run by Niall and Sparrow, a husband and wife duo who runs the store and offers guidance through the Wilds respectively.
Once a month, Sparrow guides those taking the dead to Reylig Swamp leaving the store closed for a few days.
