draft of my first ever fanfic
Late in the evening, when it was practically dark. In an apartment in one of the blocks of flats in Valoran City. In a small room lit by a ceiling lamp filled with unfinished paintings, used paint cans, and dirty cups. A tall, hunched teenage boy with long greenish hair tied in a ponytailΒ sits on a stool in his room in front of an easel painting a picture. He paints a storm at sea, a ship filled with water. The young artist is currently focused on the rough waves. Did he paint well? Does he need to change his concept? Does he need to start over? So many questions swirl around his mind.
Something small, slimy, and shaped like something from the ocean floor, is crawling around the dark corners of the room. It's doing it unnoticeably.
"Hwei go to sleep tomorrow is the first day at the new school" A tired man shouts from the other room.
The teenager got up from the stool and turned off the ceiling light, but turned on a small lamp by the canvas. And so he painted the unnoticeable details of a sinking ship for which no help would ever arrive. After another hour of painting, he stopped, turned off the lamp, and lay down on his bed. He tried to fall asleep, but he couldn't help but feel like he was watching something. Once the feeling faded, he couldn't enjoy his sleep because the sun began to rise and brutally ripped him from his bed. He'd never liked the sun; that burning star never portended anything good. Eternal heat, early wake-up, sunburn, blinding glare. Nothing pleasant, but the Moon was beautiful for him, She was bringing night. The night was both quiet and loud. He could calmly listen to nature.Β The chirping of crickets, the croaking of frogs, the hooting of an owl, or the occasional howl of a wolf. But that was before he moved to the cities. Now the night has become a second day; loud and full of people he didn't like, and now he was getting ready for the worst place ever created by man. High school. His parents said, "Don't worry, they'll definitely like you. " It's definitely going to happen. Everyone will surely fall at the knees of this weird, Crooked, Forever tired boy from the countryside who joined the class mid-year.
It was the first day he left his new apartment, even though they had been living there for a week. Pretending to be sick couldn`t last forever, even if he wanted to, his parents weren`t stupid.Β
Now he was standing in the crowded underground, full of people moving around accidentally touching him, tacking loudly next to him, everything he hated. The weirdest thing was something slime touched him when he was living underground on his stop. He wanted to check the spot where he had been "touched," but he didn't feel anything wet or slippery. So he ignored that and went toward school.Β
A giant building with windows looking down on the street, it looked ordinary. A lot of teens were arriving, meeting with friends, planning things after school, going to the movies or for some ice cream. He was finished with this day. Hwei could only think of going back home to his paintings.
