Welcome to my blog, I'm Julie! I'm the worst kind of F1 fan you know because I know basically nothing about cars or racing but I love the drivers!
This is a hate-free zone, you'll never catch me shit talking your favourite driver or engaging in hateful discourse. Everything on this blog is gay (in both the happy and the homosexual sense)
My favourite drivers: LN4, OP81
My favourite ships: Landoscar, Lestappen, Gabico, Galex (but where there is two or more guys and a little bit of chemistry, there is a way, so I enjoy just about any ship!)
My inbox is open for a chat or any asks you wanna send my way! I have to let you know, I can be quite shy and anxious, but I always try to answer :3
I like to write! It's one of my main hobbies. So besides my fangirling, you'll see fic updates and fic posts on this blog. You can also find all of my works in a neat little collection here!
Enjoy your stay, I hope you have fun in my little corner of the internet! <3

I wanna talk to you about your headcanon on how the lives of Wild Mustang landoscar go - and end.
I WAS UGLY CRYING WHEN I READ THAT JUST NOW WHAT THE FUCK?! /pos (there are still tears running down my cheeks!!)
like..... I was so not expecting that. but oh my god you made this both devastating and so so so beautiful.I can fully imagine Lando thinking back to the first time they sat in that graveyard together. and he finally sees what Oscar meant all those years ago. the peace and quiet. like, it almost feels like Oscar can hear Lando talking. maybe telling him about his day as he would have done when Oscar was still alive.
and then after literal weeks Lando just passing away (maybe in his sleep?) because of a broken heart. that was what took me out. I fucking can't. I'm starting to cry again.
you are so amazing. I am bawling.
~ 💚
I'M SO SORRY AJSWFUSSLD
Listen I get overly emotional when it comes to those two and your ask got me so excited I was like OMG YES AND and so I yes and'ed my way through the whole thing
All in all, their relationship would both start and end devastatingly beautifully. They're soulmates your honour
I'm so glad I could give you a well deserving closure, and I'm very grateful for not only reading the fic but choosing to tell me your opinions and theories on it!! I appreciate you anon :333
If anybody still cares about the craze I was in creating Wild Mustang, I have brought to you a collection of, well... collages. I've made six, and I gave a long ass explanation to all of them under the cut
1. Lando's character:
Lando is young and in many ways seems immature. He's very stubborn and defiant, he likes doing things his own way. At the same time he's very fiery and passionate, especially when it comes to art and sex. He's sensual and sensitive. Growing up in his household was lonely and stifling, so now he either exaggerates his personality or hides it completely. He seeks deeper connections and someone to understand him. I associate him with the colour scarlet.
2. Oscar's character:
He's a very analytical and calm person living a chaotic life. He says he needs peace but he is peace. What he needs is intrigue. He needs to figure things out, solve things like a puzzle, that's why he loves his job and why he fell in love with Lando nearly as soon as they met. He is stability, he is responsibility, and he loves being a safe space. As the eldest sibling and the only son of a divorced woman, comforting is in his very nature. I associate him with the colour forest green.
3. Their relationship:
It's very clear that they both need the dynamic that they have. Lando might be the one pampered and taken care of, but Oscar loves it and needs it just as much. They're also very physical. Not in the sense that they need sex constantly but they simply crave physical closeness. It's part of the reason why Oscar doesn't want Lando to leave his house once they get together. Their relationship is very harmonious, therefore I associate it with the colour navy.
4. Lando's home:
The Norris Farm might look perfect on the outside. All those animals and the beautiful flower gardens thriving outside. The opulent interior, complete with the perfect little polite family that get along with everyone. Seems like the epitome of idyllic, but it's incredibly toxic on the inside. At home is where Lando feels the most alone. Therefore he makes other places his home. Like Oscar. I associate the farm with the colour sage green.
5. Oscar's home:
A sweet little stone cottage tucked away under an orchard of cherry trees, the most beautiful Mustang parked behind iron fencing. The lawn is unkempt, and the interior is nothing perfect, either. The wallpaper is peeling, the floor is creaky, the windows and rugs are dirty, the furniture is old. But beyond that, Oscar is also incredibly messy. The tiny desk is overflowing with stacks of paper, dishes are piled up in the sink, and the fridge is perpetually empty. And yet it feels like home. It feels like nostalgia, because it reminds Oscar of the place where he spent his summers before his family became wealthy. I associate it with the colour sunshine yellow.
6. Their town:
Surrounded by forests, crop fields, small hills and cow farms, this town is perfect if you want some peace and quiet. The most amount of life you'll see here is when the church bells call to mass, or when the weather is nice enough for families to have a splash in the lake. The town is split in half by a brook that flows into the lake, but the community isn't divided. There are a few wealthy people that have summer houses there, but the town is filled mostly by regular families and old people, who are very accepting. The aging community is exactly why they established the rec centre, however there isn't much to do there if you're over 13 and under 60. I associate it with the colour pastel blue.

Anybody interested in doing community service and writing a fic where Oscar asks Lando if he can fly back with him after the race because he doesn’t wanna go with Carlos after everything that has happened on the hungarian track. and Lando doesn’t think much of it when he says yes but he realizes what a colossal mistake it was when he notices that Oscar is still pretty pissed about the incident but he is absolutely mogging as he’s sitting there with his arms crossed over his chest, biceps bulging out of his shirt, jaws set firmly together as he’s staring out of the airplane window and Lando starts feeling a little hot under the collars.
So, to distract himself, he asks Oscar a question about his race but that only makes it worse because Oscar starts talking, and the thing is he’s so cruel and precise with his words against Carlos that it hits Lando and his competency kink squarely in the face. And Lando is trying so hard to stay neutral in their conflict because they’re both his friends but every time Oscar speaks Lando squirms a little bit more in his seat and eventually Oscar notices and is like “you okay, mate?” and it somehow ends up with Lando offering to get on his knees for Oscar in the airplane bathroom to “make him feel better”
hiiiii girl omg i loved wild mustang!!! the only thing i don't get are the siblings??? wtf is wrong with lando's sisters?? why are they pretending they're not the problem when they don't even TRY to stand up for my poor baby 😭😭😭😭😭 they broke my hearttt
Sorry for the late (and very long) reply, but I was trying to come up with the best answer to this.
First of all, thank you so much!! Second of all, the relationships in Lando's family are quite complex, and the environment their parents set up doesn't really allow them to mess with the dynamics like that. More about this under the cut.
Their parents are very clearly abusive, not physically but verbally and psychologically. Those kids aren't beaten, but they either have to be perfect or face scrutiny and neglect. This doesn't only affect Lando. Later in the story it's mentioned that without Lando, the scrutiny is redirected to the girls. Because the closer you look at something, the more flaws you find, even if there are barely any.
Their parents have very high standards and always held their children to that. Took them to private school, made them partake in extracurricular activities. They were basically forced to excel at certain things, and most of them found something they were good at which appeased their parents. But Lando didn't.
Lando is artistic in a more abstract sense. He isn't good at playing instruments or dancing like Cisca, he just sees beauty in everyday things. And that wasn't special enough for their parents.
Lando had to live with the fact from an early age that he could never live up to the standards of their parents like his siblings could. His siblings tried very hard, though. Never speak out of turn, never lose a competition, never slack. Be the perfect child or else. They realised early that there was no protecting each other from their parents. Oliver tried many times, being the eldest and all, but it never led them anywhere.
So now they focus on what's important. Staying close and reassuring each other (especially Lando) that it's okay. That they will always have each other's backs and that they will always be a team against their parents. Even if you can't protect, you can be a respite.
Do you have a favourite line from any of your fics? Something you wrote that you’re especially proud of?
I'm not one to write hauntingly beautiful lines like MJ here, I'm way more basic in my writing. But if I really have to choose, I'd pick a line from Wild Mustang that really describes Lando and his inherent, subconscious need for attention
What did he want? The same as always. He wanted to feel someone's undivided attention, someone's affection, someone's desire. He wanted to feel whole again. He wanted calloused hands gripping his waist, warm lips stealing his breath, brown eyes that burned his soul. He wanted to look his father in the eyes and smile as if to say, 'See? He cares.'

As a new writer I always wanted to ask how you approach the writing process
Oh this is such an interesting question, thank you for asking! <33
I think I approach writing in a sort of analytical manner, because I don't like to flow through the story organically. If I happen to do that, it ends up like The Wild Ones (I still dislike that fic I'm sorry to all the devoted enjoyers)
So what I do when I have an idea is I make a little story board with bullet points on what key moments I'd like to hit and where. I sometimes have to write out the thought process of characters so I can better understand what's going on in their head. This usually happens with Oscar, because Lando is a very straightforward, heart on his sleeve kind of guy. But in Run Bunny Run for example, this method helped me greatly with writing a multi-dimensional character for Oscar
Sometimes I make a pinterest board to help me nail the vibes of the setting as well. This helped a lot when writing Wild Mustang. I have the most beautiful pinterest board for that fic, I'm so obsessed with it, it's actually on my phone's home screen
Once I have my plot points and my vibe secured, I get to writing. I let the story guide me from plot point to plot point while I try to adhere to the vibes. That's all, really
This ask made me think a little bit. Does anybody have any questions about the fic? Should I do a little Q&A concerning Wild Mustang? Or better yet, should I do a Q&A about all of my fics?
Let's try! If you have any questions concerning any of my works, whatever it may be, send me an ask and I'll answer it right now!

I read Wild Mustang recently and oh my god it's so unbelievably gorgeous!! I don't even have words. their love as warm as the summer they fell in love in.
anyway. I couldn't stop thinking about it. about them. and their age gap. I mean, all so sweet and happy and yes I did imagine them getting married at one point.
[maybe Oscar pops the question after about two years of them dating? and Lando - in all his manner - is like "me??" and Oscar answers smth along the lines of "of course you! do you see anyone else here??" while he's kneeling in the sand of a secluded beach, sparkling ring in his hand, on some expensive ass holiday he took Lando on (even tho Lando said that smth small was perfectly fine and "why this huge ass holiday at the other end of the world?" but Oscar wouldn't tell him). oh and I'm picturing Lando wearing white to his wedding. just as a very important addition.]
I'm getting ahead of myself. sorry.
what I'm here for. they're growing old together and their love never ever falters. but doesn't that make saying goodbye even worse? cause if Oscar retires at like 66, Lando will only be 50 and once Oscar is, like, 85 Lando will only be 69.
Lando doesn't want to be a widower but at one point he realizes this is where he's heading. and still, Oscar is there to hold both of them through this realization.
I'm so sorry for making this sad. because this was the most perfect fic. but my mind just ran with it.
to try and make this just a little better. I also imagined them as this perfect couple and Lando getting to come to fancy company dinner parties at Oscar's side. and their friend groups just mingling together somehow and it works.
god, they've taken over my brain.
hope you have an amazing day (or night)
~ 💚
Thank you so much for this 🥹🥹 it really warms my heart when I see people appreciating this fic so much because I feel like it's my magnum opus. I poured so much love into it, and I'm so grateful when people love it back!
You're very spot on with your speculations about their proposal and wedding btw, it's definitely very close to how I'd imagine it going. But let's address the "sadder" part of their story, shall we?
When Lando does become a widower, he feels ready for it. He prepared half his life for it, and it doesn't come as a shock. Oscar would probably pass away peacefully after struggling with his health. Lando would prepare the most beautiful, intimate ceremony for his funeral. He would make sure everything was done as Oscar ordered in his will. For weeks, he would visit Oscar's grave every day to tend to the flowers and have a chat with him. He learns to appreciate the peacefulness of the cemetery like Oscar always tried to teach him. Then, not long after, he would pass away as well. Not due to any health problems or accidents, but because of loneliness and a broken heart. Because even death can't do them apart.
Thank you again for the support and the heartwarming ask! I hope I could soothe the ache a little bit with this answer ❤️
I think the Rubik’s cube video really says something about Lando and Oscar’s personalities.
I saw people in the comments going “oh they switched personalities for this one” but I don’t think that’s true at all. I think this is a difference of how okay they are at being bad at something/not being able to figure something out.
Lando is a competitive little shit, and will do anything he can to win any challenge or competition, but this wasn’t a competition. Lando settled quickly with knowing he wouldn’t be able to solve it, so instead he decided to make something artful. Lando usually thrives and goes more quiet and focused when doing artsy things, seemingly very content.
Oscar on the other hand doesn’t mind losing random challenges. He does, however, not like being bad at something. We see him often making something funny and really not trying at all to be artistic during challenges like that, because he knows he’s not good at it, so he doesn’t even try. When it comes to logic and thinking though, he’s more keen to prove himself. Quizzes and trivia is where he seems to care the most. Oscar is presented with the cube and he feels like he should be able to figure it out, but he can’t, so that makes him sassy and irritated. Had it been an art challenge he just wouldn’t have cared and not tried.
They’re opposites in that way. In art challenges Oscar doesn’t even try, but Lando gets to show his creative ways. In trivia and things like that, Lando doesn’t really try, allowing Oscar to shine with his knowledge. Here, Lando was able to turn it into an art challenge, and Oscar failed at a logic challenge. Their reactions to that made total sense to me.
