as a tangent i do think we need to put "-coded" on the shelf for a bit until people learn the difference between coding (ie. the author wrote this character this way on purpose) and one's own reading (ie. the author didn't intend for this character to come off this way but elements of their characterization or story can lend to that impression for a viewer)

specific complaint maybe but it sucks so bad when you like some character and they're always paired up with another character who you dgaf about pairing tjem with BUT THEN you see everyone who feels similarly to you is like Yes i HATE that sinister other character get them away from my Sweet PeePee and you're like now hold on that is not a Sweet PeePee that is a 30 or 40 year old

fandoms are being homogenized into two radical groups and finding the equilibrum is so hard. honestly, most indie stuff is my guilty pleasure cause for some reason no one is normal about them.
