I am so RIDICULOUSLY glad they let them do this. I’ve talked to Research Cast who are retired Entertainment Cast and they’ve told me that when shows close they don’t normally let the Cast who ended the show come back out and do a final good-bye. One CM even got a reprimand for just doing a bow at the end of a show he closed (I’ll leave out which one for his sake).
But this show means a lot to me and many others. The Cast deserved their bow and final good-bye. Hopefully many of them will be back in the new show!
There are those movies where at the end you see like the lost or trapped souls rising to the sky. Those moment have ALWAYS affected me on a deep level. And to have this, to have those balloons rise up at the end. To let our dreams rise to the heavens. But not just that, for me personally to be able to release my balloon, my dream up to the sky means SO much to me.
I can’t express how much this show means to me, this show was here for me through the hardest parts of my life. This show started when I was in middle school. This show helped me grow into the person I wanted to be, and has helped me to keep going and achieve my dreams.
Today I was honored to release a physical representation of my dream to the heavens, right there where I was told it was ok to believe in the impossible. And this is why I am currently a sobbing mess while writing this.
Thank you Dream Along with Mickey. Thank you for being there when I needed you. Thank you for all the moments you have given me, and that final moment of releasing my dream with hundreds of people who love you as much as I do. Seize the moment, let your fantasies and dreams set sail. Because anything is possible, so find the dream inside of you.
Cried like a baby, no shame
Thank you.
Thank you to Walt, for giving me this opportunity to live and work in one of my favorite places in the world. For creating the mouse that I’ve been lucky enough to call my boss.
Thank you to my roommates (and honorary roommates), for being the greatest people I could have imagined having the pleasure of living with since August. For making my first “away from home” experience absolutely amazing. For dinner dates. For fastpasses. For 2am chats after an exhausting day at work. For becoming my family.
Thank you to “the boys”, for the random adventures to God knows where. For giving me countless fits of ab pains from laughing hysterically with you. For snide comments and “well, well, hi!” phone introductions. For “ju ju ju ju ju ju”. For dancing like Sorcerer Mickey. For being my brothers.
Thank you to my Stands West family, for making the first quarter and the last quarter of my program amazing. For singing along to Festival of Fantasy and Wishes with me. For numerous occasions closing. For roasting in the CDS room by Sleepy’s. For all the Magical Moments. For making my experience in Magic Kingdom manageable (considering I was dreading it when I found out that I’d be there). For being cast members I looked forward to seeing at work.
Thank you to my Food & Wine family, for making being deployed in less than a month perfect. For making running the bullet through the World Showcase after Illuminations so entertaining. For shouting CHEWTINI with me. For “all day, all day all day all daaaaay, all daaaay, all daaaay”. For truffle trains. For avoiding bees at Wine Studio. For learning the correct way to pronounce tuna poke and gyro. For being amazing people to work with on a whim in the short-but-sweet festival.
Thank you to the Mighty Ducks, for being the biggest group of misfits I could have been lucky enough to play in the Donald league with. For walk off wins weekly. For mercy rules. For our chick-fil-a adventure. For the picture war in our group. For kicking butt during playoffs (even if two of the teams we were supposed to play forfeited). For miscounting quacks before games. For making me look forward to playing on Tuesday nights even after an exhausting shift.
Thank you.

So glad to finally have my Disney College Program ‘ohana all here <3 I love my roommates!
There’s no place like home and by home I mean Disney.
First Few Days!
I’m now on day 3 of living in my new apartment in Chatham Square with ALL of the roommates I was hoping for, including the ones I had to split from! We’re so excited to have still ended up together.
I found out I will be working Stands West in Magic Kingdom! While I still don’t know completely where that means, I know I’ll be in either Frontierland, Adventureland, or Liberty Square! I’m so excited that I’ll be working near the castle and I’ll get to frequent the utilidors.
My Traditions class is tomorrow afternoon and I’m hoping to get to see Wishes just afterward. Two of roommates & I are planning to go to Magic Kingdom in the morning on Friday and meet the other two who have training at Hollywood Studios in the afternoon to end our day seeing Fantasmic (which I’ve never seen)!
I can't wait to start training on Saturday at Disney University and get my costume!

Ok, so here’s personal story time.
I went to Disney World Magic Kingdom today wearing this pink and white sun dress and my hair was in soft curls. My hair is sort of long, but you can’t really tell that from the picture.
Anyway, we were walking around for a little while, and then this mother walked up to me holding her daughter’s hand. At first I kind of got nervous because I don’t just get randomly talked to on the norm. But then the mother kind of embarrassingly said “I don’t mean to bother you dear, but my daughter here has been asking me non stop since she’s seen you if you were Sleeping Beauty and if it’s your day off.”
Ok, now I do not look like any Disney Princess. So I assumed she only thought this because of my hair and dress (I would imagine if Sleeping Beauty were walking around Disney in the summertime on her day off she would wear a pink sun dress. Or blue lol).
I looked down at the daughter, who was wearing a Sleeping Beauty kids dress and she was kind of hiding behind her mom and smiling. So instead of telling her no, this is what I did:
I bent down to my knees so I could be on her level and I said, “Oh Princess, you must have just woken up for behaving so silly. Obviously you are Princess Aurora, aren’t you?” I pointed to her dress. “It really is an honor to meet you. You’re my favorite Disney Princess.” By now she was giggling and moving out from behind her mom. “But I have to warn you. I heard that an evil sorceress is out to get you, so be careful. Make sure you be safe and stay away from spinning wheels!” I looked up at the girl’s mother who had the biggest smile on her face. “Ok Princess, you better get back to running the kingdom. And remember to always keep dreaming!” The girl then gave me a hug. When they were walking away the mother turned back to me and I noticed her eyes were watery. She mouthed “thank you”.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, gave me the most satisfying feeling I have ever had.
last time i went to disney land someone mistook me for a trash collector
I just spit everywhere
