So, I was doing an Wings of Fire/Oregon Trail sim that had Winter in it, and I had a lot of clothes, so I wouldn't die in winter (no pun intended). Welcome to Looking Up! This is my Dark Forest fanfic about Bristlefrost! If you haven't read A Light in the Mist, go read that if you don't want spoilers!

Chapter 1-Bristlefrost

The blackness released Bristlefrost as her tail scraped the sand. Exhaustion gnawed at her bones as her memories came flooding back: a pair of blue eyes watching her sink away, the water embracing her pelt, the impostor falling...

"How are you today, my friend?" She opened her eyes to see a pair of amber orbs, floating in the green waters.

"Darkstripe," she spat, loathing seeping into her voice. "We are NOT friends."

"But we are." His voice was leaving a long, oozing trail of slimy overdoing it. "We're both dead."

"You're crazy, Darkstripe." Her voice faltered a bit as she realized where she was. The cold water made her shiver.

Looking Up Comic-Announcement

I know I announced a comic, but I'm not good at digital art and have decided to continue drawing covers, but make them into readable fanfictions, similar to how the original books are written.

Thus, Looking Up will no longer be a comic.

I'm sad to say this, but the comic edition hasn't been started, so now I've made this decision, and that's the end of it. It's sad to comic fans, but I think this will be a better idea.

I'm writing a Warriors AU webcomic about Bristlefrost after she falls into the dark water, which is basically just the home for dead Dark Forest cats. Now, she's falling for Darkstripe and can't explain why she feels like something's missing. In the meantime, Rootspring and Violetshine look in from the surface.

Here's the cover! Sorry about how bad it is, but it's going to be that way in the rest of the comic too. I'm not used to drawing like this.
