Dominic. Portland, Oregon.
Film: Ilford XP2.
Camera: Kodak Medalist II.
Here are a few of my favorite analogue film cameras as seen through the lens of a Polaroid SX-70 and Impossible Project color instant film. Yashicamat 124-G, Leica M6 TTL, Nikonos IV-A, Kodak Medalist II, Yashica T4 Super, Bolex Double 8, Lomolcwide with Fujifilm EF-X20 flash, and the Nimslo 3D camera.
Each one is special, but if I had to get rid of all but one, I would keep the Leica M6 with the 35mm Summicron f/2.0.
I have no idea what it must be like to have cancer. I do not know what pain from radiation treatments feels like. I have never had a tumor or anything removed from my body. I do not know what it is like to have to go through chemo therapy for weeks at a time spanning several months, then do it all over again. My body has never had to go through the experience of so heavy a dose of chemo that it broke out in skin sores with painfully cracked lips having no feeling in it’s extremities. I have never experienced exhaustion for such an extent of time that I had difficulty performing simple tasks, nor have I ever known the strength deep within that makes it possible to keep fighting.
My brother knows.
These are few of my favorite images from a recent trip south for spring break. I shot these photographs with a Leica M240 and a 35mm f/2.0 Summicron lens. I’ve owned the M240 for about 8 months but it hasn’t seen much use as I’ve been reaching for the Leica M6 and some flavor of Kodak film instead. I left the M6 at home this time but brought a Lomo LC-Wide and a Kodak Funsaver for some analog fun.
The foggy mornings were plentiful around the Portland area last week. This is Tilikum Crossing photographed from SE Portland on January 25th, 2015.
Canon 5DmkIII. 35mm f/1.4.

Recent photographs made over the thanksgiving holiday on Maui. Maya Jean was photographed with a Leica M6 and the water images were shot on a Nikonos IV-A. Kodak Portra 160 and Tri-X. Film was processed and scanned at The Find Lab.
December 27th with my brother Tim and my Leica M240 + 35mm Summicron. I shot raw + black and white fine jpegs that you see here straight out of the camera.
I spent some time in the UK in september while working on a job north of London, in Stamford, Lincolnshire. We came back to London on a saturday night, but too late to catch one of the Premiere League Football fixtures that were happening that evening. The next best thing was a stadium tour. This is Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal. I was pretty stoked to get a behind the scenes look. Lomo LCW. Kodak Portra 400.
These photographs were made with a Yashica-Mat 124G and Kodak Portra 400 on Saddle Mountain. Oregon coast range. January, 2014.
These are the first images out of my new Lomo LC-W. Aside from a few light leaks, (which I may or may not fix), I am pretty stoked. I love the funkiness of the 17mm minigon lens most noticeable in the roof line of the shot of the van.

The light was amazing when I stepped outside with my dog last evening. Straight out of the camera. Leica M 240 with Zeiss 50mm f/2.0.
I spent the afternoon yesterday with my cousin Denny chasing the good light. We logged some miles and I managed to click off a few frames with the Leica M 240 + 35mm Summicron f/2.0 asph.
