Had the pleasure of drawing the poster for The Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy film series at Trylon Cinema in Minneapolis, featuring Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, & The World’s End 🧟♂️👮🏼♂️🤖
Process steps from this poster design ❤️💙💚 I often describe my illustration approach as purposefully making a mess, then slowly cleaning it up step by step.

Got my grubby lil’ hands on the new 3x3 Magazine — super fun to flip through and see my work alongside so many incredible illustrators! Many thanks to the jury and all the folks I got to collaborate with on these projects:
• Michigan Economic Forecast for DBusiness Magazine, art direction by Justin Stenson
• Meet Our Athletes for the Star Tribune, art direction by Jake Lovett
• Parthenogenesis for Reactor Magazine, art direction by Shreya Gupta
• Altjugend for MCAD Gallery, two-color risograph print
Front cover by Garth Glazier, back cover by Thomas Schmid & BUCK Design
Do you like hotdogs? AND shop in the greater Massachusetts regional retail market?? AND want limited-edition commemorative packaging illustrated by yours truly???
Well, if you’re the person at the center of that very specific venn diagram — have I got a deal for YOU 🌭

Always a pleasure to partner with the Aliveness Project for Pride! This is our third collaboration and it’s still such a cool feeling to see this work out in the world.
This year’s design celebrates the many ways that Minnesotans came together to support their neighbors during the heaviest days of the ICE occupation, from grocery runs and rent fundraisers to neighborhood patrols.
We aimed to highlight how the Aliveness Project shares that same spirit of community care, providing direct assistance for folks living with HIV in the Twin Cities and beyond.
Big thanks to Ezra & Dylan for all their guidance along the way!
And here are the sketch explorations from this year’s Pride design for the Aliveness Project ❤️
Rather than relying on traditional Pride imagery this year, we instead decided to focus on the many ways that Minnesotans came together to support their neighbors and push back against ICE violence.
The aim was to highlight how the Aliveness Project stands in solidarity with our immigrant communities and serves as an important resource hub for those living with HIV.

Today the Minneapolis city council will hear public comments regarding the effort to overturn the city’s outdated and homophobic bathhouse ban. This policy was enacted in 1988 during the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, when fear and stigma shaped public policy. Today, we know that public health works best when it is rooted in science and community.
Earlier this spring, I had the honor of being asked to create a series of illustrated posters to help raise community awareness around this ongoing effort. It’s been so satisfying to see them hanging in local bars and community spaces over the past few weeks!
A big THANK YOU to all the folks from the Safer Sex Spaces Coalition for all their hard work, and extra thanks to Dylan & Ezra from the Aliveness Project for their guidance along the way!
The Minneapolis bathhouse ban is HISTORY!! This past Pride weekend the Bathhouse Repeal Ordinance was signed into law, officially ending the prohibition.
It was an honor to play a small part in this communal effort, spearheaded by folks from the Safer Sex Spaces Coalition and the Aliveness Project. And so cool to see my posters and buttons in local bars, community spaces, and even City Hall!
Endless thanks to all the folks in the Safer Sex Spaces Coalition for all their hard work, and an extra thank you to Dylan & Ezra from the Aliveness Project for bringing me on board!

This past Friday was the final day of MicroVisions 9, which is also the final show from WOW x WOW — it has me feeling nostalgic and thinking about the piece I created for WOW x WOW’s very first MicroVisions show way back in 2018.
Looking back at so many years of art makes me feel super thankful for all the opportunities (and necessary deadlines) to create personal work — not to mention the chance to be featured among a truly stellar selection of artists. I’ll always appreciate how these shows gave me an excuse to experiment with new materials, processes, palettes, and subjects. Endless thanks to Tim Maclean for bringing me on board and for his YEARS of support behind the scenes! #wowxwowforever

🌷 It sure is pretty out there 🌸
Today’s the final day of “Love in the Time of Resistance” at Co-Prosperity in Chicago — it’s truly an honor to have a piece of my work included in this traveling snapshot of Minnesota’s visual response to ICE violence. So much of what happened in the Twin Cities was shaped and informed by Chicago’s efforts during last year’s Operation Midway Blitz, so this show of solidarity feels full of collective gratitude.
Extra thanks to ArtYouHeart for continuing to support this important work and to Chan C. Smith and Sandra Oviedo for these documentation photos!
Here’s my contribution to MicroVisions 9 from WOW x WOW 🐝 The online group exhibition of small artworks runs through May 22nd.
“Sunny Side” — Mixed media on wood panel, 6” x 6” (very happy to report that this piece has already sold!)
Process steps from my piece for MicroVisions 9 from WOW x WOW 🐝 The mixed-media drawing was made with colored pencils on a small wood panel, alternating with layers of ultra-matte medium and a final addition of acrylic paint for the background.
A little Ahsoka treat for May the 4th

Help yourself to some chocolate rabbits, drawn on a field trip to the Li-Lac chocolate factory in Brooklyn a decade ago (!!!)
🤞😬 Hoping that this is the last of our winter weather here in Minneapolis
