Thanks to Tumblr social activism, as well as the actions of many public movements, I’m finding it harder and harder to support the LGBT/Minority community. While I still feel there’s definitely good people in both categories who deserve equal rights and treatment, I’ve seen nothing but spoiled, hate-spewing, childish, ignorant activists on this site and out in the open. I see people reaching out to these groups to offer aid, only to get their hand bit clean off because they’re ‘cishet scum’ or because they don’t entirely agree with aggressive activists. People say the life of LGBTs/minorities are full of strife, and I’m sure for some it is, but when people are calling for the death of the privileged, saying the privileged can’t be discriminated against, and overall acting like spiteful twelve year-olds, I just can’t take movements such as Feminism seriously anymore. While I do one day hope we can all be equal and get along, I know that these toxic Tumblrites are just setting any progress backwards with their misguided ideas for ‘justice’.
