i think it's so fucking funny that logan DID actually like greg in a pet chihuahua kind of way and gave him legitimate advice and was generally pretty nice to him but no one else saw it so they all think he's lying when he says they were on good terms

like it's actually flooring me. theyre like yeah he wrote down your name on a note in his safe discussing who he wants to take over we think he might have been trying to remember it idk??? they do NOT believe him

there's absolutely nothing that tom wouldn't do for greg if only greg genuinely asked and i think that, while sometimes tom has circumvented the situation of The Asking or pushed back against certain implied requests, at the end of the day if greg himself had stood his ground and begged to be moved to a different department or for the loudly-sneezing neighbor of his new office or anything else, tom would have given it to him. it's of course the nature of greg and his respect for tom that he wouldn't straight up beg after tom has pushed back at all (though he might "give additional context" that is NOT blackmail because he likes tom too much) but that's besides the point. tom saw greg begging other people for a job when he first met him and felt inclined to give greg what he wanted like.. what greg wants greg shall have lol
