Harriet Tubman is a historical, proveable, recountable figure of Black American History. she is not a myth, she is not a creation meant to portray how human nature works. she was a real actual woman not a fucking gotcha about casting in some fucking movie. don't piss me off.

but outside of this inherent... nonsensical argument, it is a myth! the point of fables, myths, wives tales, a great many of them are meant to represent human nature as a whole, questions about our Earth and society as a whole, and, if they're good enough, they prove timeless. like The Odyssey. it remains relevant today, because of timelessness as a quality. thus, not only does it make sense, it is BEST with a broader cast. to represent that it corresponds with humans of ALL forms of ALL creeds. The Odyssey is a fairy tale. with Gods and Deities, and magic mermaids, and evil witches, and all that comes with it. it is also a drama about coming home, finding your place, omens, choice of fate and reception to it... it is a story about man's nature and his reaction to things around him.
