“oh well I have no basis for comparison there. I mean you may not have my little diddums red hair or freckles but you have his temperament” she hummed getting out the ingredients. She felt bad for the child really. She spent all week at school and otherwise on her own. And never saw her father on the weekends when she really ought to.

That made her giggle, “Diddums? That’s one I never heard before.” She loved her grandmother dearly, she was more of a parent than her father was. With her Jasmine didn’t feel alone. She looked at the ingredients and grinned.

“mhm he will always be my little baby Eddie bear no matter how he fights it” she giggled pushing over the recipe book “now let’s starts these cupcakes” she hummed fastening her long red hair into a bun

She nodded and grinned and put her jet black hair into a ponytail and smiled happily, “These are going to be delicious! I have decided this!”

“that’s my girl” she cooed weighing out some flour “crack the eggs for me dear”

“Okay!” She went over and perfectly cracked the eggs. Sometimes she wondered if he didn’t like he because she wasn’t as smart as he was.

She smiled softly watching her carefully as she weighed ingredients out.

“Perfectly cracked eggs! Yolks in tact and no shells!” She grinned. She tried to get praise where she could since her father never praised her for anything.

“such a clever granddaughter I have” she cooed ruffling her hair gently

She felt so happy as she giggled. “Thanks!” She started to tell her things about school and what they were learning.

Her grandmother listened with deep interest as they mixed the ingredients then put them in cases and baked them

She smiled, “Great huh grandma?”
