Light It Up:

Picture this: you’ve just made the most incredible diamond haul from the expansive network of underground tunnels under your base, and are heading back home to safely deposit it. There’s no need to worry about mobs because you were smart enough to light up the way back. However, as you round the corner you stumble directly into a creeper and get absolutely obliterated! As you see your diamonds fall into that 1x1 square of lava you joked about earlier, the only question on your mind is: “Where the hell did that come from?!”. Sounds like you need a way of checking for absolute sure that nothing can spawn in your caves, base and bed! In the wise words of a Nashville-based Minecraft adventurer, you’ve got to light it up! Using the Light It Up filter of course! This little fella will diligently chug through any selection you throw at it and pick out those pesky mob spawns. It can either show them to you so you can vanquish them yourself, or it can use your light source of choice to light it up for you! Now you’ll never be left in the dark when it comes to knowing the security of your base and mines!

For those block-punch-game fanatics among us, it can be challenging to faithfully reproduce your creative world redstone binary computer in survival without some inevitable headache. Before you can even place the first block, you need the right amount of materials, and after that you need to know where to place them. Then there’s the good 20 hours of actual building time that goes into it, but let’s face it, why do you even own the game if you don’t love that??

So, what can be done? Do you bite the bullet, accept defeat and tarnish your pure survival world by using a world-editing tool like MCEdit? Don’t be preposterous, you need to use a world-editing tool like MCEdit! In conjunction with these filters! If you want to cut to the chase, you can get your hands on them here, but after the break I’ll give a neat rundown of what to expect.

To celebrate over a year of inactivity, I’ve taken time out to re-spruce my blog and add a little more consistency in way of kawaii loaf motifs. It’s been in a pretty crumb-y state ever since I left it out past its sell-by date, and I felt it kneaded a little extra colour to make things less stale. Let’s hope this mill usher in a new era of not loafing around with the rolling out of new, engaging content for roughly 60 30 people who may or may not dough I am still alive.
