a MISCHIEVOUS smirk arises on the girl’s lips when she approaches her older brother slowly and silently like a GHOST. she’s mastered that skill ever since growing up on the ark, but the ground is different, it’s taken some time for her to figure out how to not let out any sounds here. these days she’s become pretty good at it, maybe not like the grounders who have lived in the woods for their whole LIFE, but she’s learning to become better and better. and one day, if she’s given enough time and practice, perhaps she will grow to be like the warriors who she looks highly up to. strong and silent, eager to fight for GOOD, for what they believe in. and that’s exactly what OCTAVIA BLAKE is about.

creeping behind him, she suddenly grasps his shoulders. “BOO!” a giggle echoes after her sudden exclaim, and she nudges his back, stepping around. “i heard some rumors you’re supposed to have a day off,” octavia points out. it’s rare for bellamy to have a chance just relax, and it’s definitely been a WHILE since they’ve hanged out together. she’s really MISSING about spending some quality time with her brother, and she has strong feeling he thinks the same. 

she tilts her head, the glimmering, emerald eyes revealing that the girl certainly hasn’t come look for him without a PLAN on her mind. “wanna hang out and finally prove me you’re not a CHICKEN?”

‣  LIFE’S CALM AROUND ARKADIA. it seems unusual in comparison to the chaos the group experienced previous. but, he doesn’t want to jinx it, so he just lives in the moment. really, being on the ground has been moments. living life as if it could be his last moment. for once, he didn’t feel his life threatened, better yet, his sister’s life. he doesn’t want to let her go, rather for her sake maybe it’s his own. he’s been discovering his life without having to watch out for his sister at every turn. still, he keeps her close. she’ll always hold half his heart. 

a smile spreads across his face at the familiar voice.     ❛    did those rumors happen to come in the form of jasper or maybe a nosy grounder ?    ❜     he pokes fun before he wraps his sister in a warm embrace. he enjoys any time she comes to visit. partially since he doesn’t have anyone as close anymore. even if camp was quiet, clarke left and he couldn’t shake the feeling of loneliness. it was visits like these that helped raise his mood.

❛   are we sure this is a good idea?   ❜   if there was anything that raven had learned over her few months on the ground it was to trust no one…   but here they were.   she’s hesitant to be in harm’s way again but hadn’t voiced her protests,   not when the rest of the group seemed so keen on making contact with the mysterious ship.

rather than allow the awkward silence to hang over her head,   raven continues to hold his gaze with no sign of wavering.   she might be overthinking,   it might also be the fact that she’s a massive realist and she hasn’t had any positive experiences with strangers to refer back to,   or it might be both.

‣  BELLAMY PAUSES A MOMENT. he’s thinking to himself, the last minute to back out of this idea. but he doesn’t -- he can’t. if there’s any chance there’s others they’ve got to inspect the ship. if he’s learned anything over the past years it’s the hard choices. choices leaders make for others. it seems wrong, to make a choice for someone else, to claim one has a better idea then others, but here he is taking charge.

‣  IT’S ODD TO HEAR THE QUESTION, but their cultures differ, as do their language.    ❛    for lack of a better phrase, it’s like go kill yourself.    ❜    when he thinks about it, it sounds harsher than usual.

a sigh slips from his mouth.     ❛    forever younger  ...   growing older just the same  ...    ❜      he knows war has forced them to grow up. they’d always be stuck in between a youth of living in the sky, yet years too old for the bloodshed
