let me put all my feelings out because this topic has been kinda bothering me for a bit now (using your comment for that @schwarmerei1)

for me whats the worse is the way brazilian media and the average brazilian f1 fan is taking this very obvious image that was crafted for kimi and just running away with it

kimi(‘s team) has at this point: made a merc hat that is the same shade of blue as the iconic nacional hat, done ayrton’s podium celebration (pouring the champagne over his own head), got his picture taken reading a senna biography on his grave WITH THE HAT, and picked his racing number

i think kimi is a sweet guy, he’s young so he probably is just having fun, but like…… all of the things that are making people compare him to ayrton are things that anyone could’ve done 🥴 just the fact that he had a horrible monaco race last year should make him permanently banned from ever being compared to ayrton

and i do think this is half kimi’s personality half mercedes pr because he wanted to do the usain bolt’s celebration when he won so maybe he just likes to pay homage to his idols and then you have mercs comms like “nononono lets call him senna reincarnated everyone will love that 🤑”
