Jeff didn’t deserve Nick. There were so many times when the world tried to pull them apart, and Jeff knew that Nick did deserve better. But Nick stayed with him all the same. Nick didn’t give up on him, no matter how difficult things had gotten. Jeff was grateful every day that he got to hold Nick in his arms, and he wanted desperately for Nick to know just how special he really was, but words never did it justice. So, he tried to show it in the little things. The kisses every morning, the lacklustre attempts to cook him meals. Anything to make Nick happy. Jeff hummed happily, pulling away to leave a playful nip against his thigh, “It’s okay. Let go, darling.” Jeff loved these moments, loved knowing that Nick was willing to put this much trust in him. Jeff swiped his tongue against the head of Nick’s cock, letting out a satisfied groan as he took Nick into his mouth once more.

Would things really mean as much if you didn't fight for them? They both could have left at the first sign of trouble, but they fought through, because they thought they were worth it. Jeff was worth it to Nick, he mattered, he made Nick open up in a way he wasn't expecting. Nick wanted that, wanted to make Jeff feel as good as he made Nick feel. It was worth it, it meant the world to Nick and he will keep fighting for Jeff, no matter what, until the end of his days. He was glad there hasn't been a lot of fighting, though. They were happy, content. Nick's favourite thing was coming home after a long day and get that rewarding kiss Jeff always gave him when he arrived. A romantic night was getting Eric into his PJs and in bed without much trouble and then cuddle up in their bed with whatever snack they had in the cupboard. Loving Jeff had always been worth it. There was always that trust that Nick would place on Jeff blindly, because he knew he got him. It had been scary, letting go, it's not second nature and sometimes it's still hard, but it's easy to relax knowing Jeff got him. Nick looked down at Jeff, seeing his rosy cheeks, wet lips, and that messed up hair and he couldn't help but let his already ragged breathing catch up in his throat. God, he really was lucky. He brushed a thumb over Jeff's cheek, nodding softly and watching Jeff as he worked him up over the edge. "J-Jeff, fuck." He let out, finally allowing himself to let go.

Jeff knew that things could be a lot worse. They’d been through a lot together, but they had things pretty good now. Jeff definitely couldn’t complain about what he had. Of course, what he had were things he didn’t know he wanted before, things he never would’ve wanted until Nick came along. Jeff longed for the moments he got Nick all to himself, but he enjoyed being a family, too. Maybe they grew up too fast, but this was nice just the way it was. It was them. No matter how dysfunctional it was, it worked, and Jeff loved things just the way they were. He loved knowing that Nick had this much trust in him, that Nick would only ever let Jeff that close. Jeff squeezed Nick’s hand as their fingers threaded together. Hearing the sounds Nick made, feeling Nick so close, it was always overwhelming in all the right ways. Jeff groaned, digging his fingers into Nick’s hip, feeding that desire to keep Nick close.

Sometimes Nick wonders how they managed to stay together. Life had been so hard on them, even when they were together, but somehow they managed to get through anything. Yes, it had been hard sometimes, but Nick never saw himself leaving Jeff. He might have thought about it, thinking it would be better for Jeff, but even then he wasn't able to go through it. He loved Jeff, and there was nothing in this life that could really keep them apart. And it had been worth it. Nick haven't been this happy with his life. Jeff was the one person in the world he would let go power for. It wasn't so scary, letting Jeff take control, showering him attention. "Jeff... Shit, I-I'm close," and really, how could he not. Knowing Jeff loved him enough to even try this, to be good at it, Nick was overwhelmed physical and emotionally. He gripped Jeff's wrist as he felt himself grow closer, his breath ragged already, before letting out a long moan that sounded like Jeff's name.

I know. But you know how hard it is to take compliments. But when they come from you, it's not as hard to believe them.

There were a lot of things Jeff would’ve changed about the way he had handled things with Nick. He wouldn’t have pushed as much as he had. He looked back on the things he said and did and realised that he seemed to be forcing Nick into making a decision. It wasn’t his intention, but it still wasn’t fair. Nick should’ve had more time to think things through. Nick didn’t have to give Jeff any answer at all. Jeff was the one with the crush. Nick was just forced to deal with it. But, Jeff had gotten lucky. He didn’t want to waste any moments they had together now that Nick was entirely his. It was important that Nick knew just how special he really was. Jeff groaned under his breath as Nick’s fingers moved in his hair, picking up his pace. He wanted to hear every last sound from Nick, to know how happy he was making him. Jeff’s fingers brushed delicately along Nick’s skin, reassuring him as best he could that he was right there and he’d do anything to make him feel safe.

Sometimes it was nice to picture a perfect relationship. Highschool sweethearts, a perfect life, cute dates. They didn't have it that way, they had tears and fires and arguments, but somehow they still managed to find time to fall in love in the middle of the chaos that were their lives. They had the cute dates, few, but they always meant so much more, those little moments they got to get away and just focus on themselves and have fun. He fell in love with Jeff between the bad times and the good times and he wouldn't change it for the world. Nick would never change a thing, because right now he got to see Jeff's smile every single day and there was nothing better than that. Of waking up next to the most important person to you, who saw all the bad things in you and still loves you, who makes him feel special with a simple touch. At the end of the day, it was Jeff who made him feel comfortable enough to share these moments with. Nick moaned softly, getting lost in Jeff's touch, reaching out and lacing their fingers together, grounding himself in that moment.
