I've been brainstorming a homebrewed DnD campaign/fantasy story for the past few months and this guy hasn't left my mind

She is, by far, the most underrated Layton girl. But she still does so much? Her mother died shortly after she was born and her father, while loving, is overly protective of her. Katia lost her grandmother a year before PL2 and this caused even more of a rift between Katia and her father. But Katia (who can’t be older than 19) decides to go behind his back and travel to a ‘cursed’ phantom town, alone, to find her lost grandfather, who’s rumoured to be a vampire.

She keeps her motives and her plans a secret, but she’s still so sweet and kind? When Layton and Luke are travelling through the forest to Herzen castle, it’s implied Katia left a lantern or two for them along the way. Then, later, she tries to help them escape from the castle.

And if Layton and Luke hadn’t gone to castle, chances are Katia still would have saved Anton by herself. (She wouldn’t have had the Elysian Box, sure, but Anton wouldn’t have mistaken Layton for Sophia’s suitor and lost his temper!) The castle is literally crumbling, along with her grandfather’s grip on reality, but Katia still tries to get him out because she trusts everything Sophia told her about him.
