It’s really funny because sock (the thing I also use as my sona) has undergone zero change meanwhile poppet dosent even have a consistent design because I draw them differently everytime-

Anyways how about a brief introduction? Socks the one with the mouth and poppet are the eyes

Poppet is an ancient soul, once taking the form of a powerful wyvern. Poppet had great strength but with time grew weary, their strength allows them to live long lives as they cannot die from old age. Poppet went mad with fear that a neighboring kingdom would send assassins or warriors to claim their life as wyvern souls are incredibly powerful. Poppets desire was to live forever, and in doing so crafted an immortal form of Devine fabric to use as a vessel. The vessel was sock, and in the possession of the new vessel, poppet unknowingly trapped their soul within the doll. ((The doll does not have eyes, but through magic can use the glasses to see. It also seems to have a stuffing like rabid foam coming from its mouth at all times))

Sock is an indestructible magical possessed doll. Originally sock had no idea who they were, and woke in the lair of poppet before crawling out to explore the world. The doll can ‘heal’ itself from any wound or injury by sewing itself back together with the holy thread it carries on its back. The doll feels no physical pain so their combat can be wreckless, it uses the two large needles on its head like swords, and if needed can summon an indefinite number of needles from the zipper on its back. Only through adventuring in search of purpose or identity does sock meet poppet.

Essentially their beef boils down to the fact that they can’t exsist at the same time. Poppet, now awake after slumbering through socks possession, wants control of the body again. Sock obviously dosent want to just die and causes a lot of trouble for poppet. I’d like to imagine after some jrpg plot line there’s a spell or something that allows the soul to split in two so sock and poppet can coexist. But they did actively try to kill each other for a very long time.
