And while the Proxies there are also miserable and Slenderman makes them kill people, EJ can at least sneak around the forest and find either fresh bodies or sometimes even people left to die but he can fix up and “preserve” for later consumption… I mean, they were already going to die right? These people are saving more lives by feeding Jack and keeping Chernabog from committing more harm than Jack can. That’s what he tells himself.
