“AN EXTREMELY DELAYED BLOG UPDATE”
Back again after a very busy few weeks.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to dedicate an enormous amount of time towards this blog recently.
I’ve compiled a post that highlights my favourite videos and developments within skateboarding over the last 8 weeks or so. I thought that this would be ideal for anyone in a similar ‘rushed off their feet’ position to me at the moment.
This is only a fraction of the happenings around the world, but these were the visuals that stuck heavily in my mind when writing this entry.
First and foremost, let’s talk FULL-LENGTHS:
And as of yesterday, Matt Steindl's “Standard Definition” became available online, in it’s entirety (legally too). Not one to miss out on, seriously. Big fan of the online video logs, bigger fan of this final product.
SK8RATS’ “Rat Poison” from 2014 quickly found itself embedded in my laptop’s bookmarks. Very radical watch which comes complete with every aspect of a good skateboarding flick.
After a long time coming, Antiz finally complete “Out of the Blue” featuring a healthy dose of Rémy Taveira.
“Please Charge” had me constantly repeating the phrase, after my phone faced the consequence of a thousand mandatory replays.
“Fun While It Lasted” is perfect.
Mark Dunning finishes “Deep Dish 2”, which is now for sale HERE. This is joined by the upload of the Deep Dish B-Sides and a new online edit which features a fantastic girl to skateboard ratio.
I was recently provided with a copy of Skateboard Cafe’s “Alfresco”, which was just mesmerising. Quintessential British skateboarding. A true testament to the talent our Isles hold. Huge congratulations to everyone that made that flick possible.
VIDEO PARTS AND GENERAL STOKES:
The Nike SB Chronicles: Vol. 3 takes solid form.
Johnny Wilson drops “Sure” online, including Cyrus, Loose Trucks Max and all of your favourite heads from ‘The Most Productive Skate Crew in New York’.
Mark Suciu demonstrates his outstanding ability to conquer East Coast plaza terrain in Chris Mulhern’s most recent masterpiece. Really, really stoked on this one.
“Parisii XX” is now live on Live, which is what this post is really about.
Considering that all of this footage is throwaway, Tom Knox’s “Vase” part will undoubtedly be a memorable one. Popcorn at the ready for his SML Wheels clip. Props to Jacob Harris behind the lens.
HUF’s worldwide domination continues with a multitude of new products, projects, collaborations and video parts.
Collaborations see the footwear giants team up with New York’s Bronze 56k, as well as legendary urethane providers, Spitfire.
In terms of riders and their footage, Kevin Terpening comes through with his “Classic” part, which includes way too many stand out moments to comment on and Austyn Gillette releases his new signature pro-model shoe and accompanying edit.
Jenkem spent some time with Adidas ambassador Nestor Judkins.
Australia’s golden boys Nick Boserio and Josh Pall turned pro.
Converse upload one of the best short-tour videos to date.
Mother Collective ends and Quasi begins.
Lovenskate broke the internet with this side-splitting take on manufacturing quality..
Hélas and Landscape bumped heads to create a small capsule collection.
Juraś demolishes DIY (not literally).
Heroin tease at their new film “Bath Salts”.
Magenta hop the channel to skate England.
Casper Brooker finishes his Huck series skating hometown London, before jetting out to Copenhagen.
To finish, Sabotage Productions stoke the global skateboarding community by producing a 6 minute promo to advertise the imminent release of “Sabotage 4″, set to hit screens in early September.
This should be more than enough material to keep you locked in your bedroom for the next few days.
Failing that, support your local skate shop/coffee house and politely ask for their Wi-Fi password.
