Rewatching Gossip Girl (big surprise) and I’m now just realizing how misogynistic Rufus was. Dan was literally put in jail for punching a guy at a bar after drinking and taking drugs with Ch*ck while Jenny was actually making something of herself by helping with a FASHION SHOW, having her dress get praised by powerful executives, and just basically saving the show and then SHE’S the one who gets reprimanded by Rufus???? Like yes i get it skipping school and lying about it is bad but she literally said she was keeping up with everything like her readings and homework. I don’t know but Rufus is so fucking annoying when he’s not with Lily 😭. Also just insane how both these events happen in the same episode and Rufus doesn’t even bat an eye at Dan’s actions. If anything he kinda encourages him 💀. And you know what, Jenny is so right that if her dad had made it big, he would not be saying shit to her about finishing school.

Heroes Grace and Locked Away… beautiful, amazing, holds up even today. Great story, great characters, and easily the best written fics out there.
