Why is the entire programming community made up of delusional ai asshats lately?! Finding FOSS projects that are staunchly anti-ai is so disproportionately hard considering how hated this anti-human slopware is! It is not that hard to just slap an anti-ai code of conduct in there! It's even easier to just not use ai! Literally all you have to do is just write the fucking code with your own hands.

Especially if what you're making is a markdown editor that literally only needs to do one thing: put text on a screen. What happened to actual lightweight software?! What mindless slopware-sucking moron went "you know, I really wish my text editor was slow as balls, consumed thousands of gallons of drinking water, and randomly decided to modify and corrupt my files without any user input!"

Please. Please, someone just make a programming/tech space where ai is treated like the anti-human cancer it is. Literally all I want is to be able to say "hey how do I send a .png over http" without some amoeba-masquerading-as-a-human going "Oh jUsT LeT CoPiLoT Do iT FoR YoU! AlsO Go sUck BiG TecH'S DiCk wHiLE You'Re At iT!"

No LLMs for brainstorming and then sharing the results of that brainstorming, even if you create the prose. I LOVE reading. Scrolling through a particularly beefy fic while some ambient music drones in my ear is the closest thing to bliss I can experience

But I haven't been able to do hardly any reading in years. Why? Because I just don't have the emotional energy to handle the deep, heavy, borderline-pretentious topics that seem to plague literature as a whole. Which is why I pretty much only read fanfics lately. It's the only literary space where I can find the sort of ambient, meaningless experience I need to wind down, y'know? But it just doesn't compare to having an actual paper-and-ink book in my hands (particularly because my phone's battery is hot garbo and thus imposes an annoying time limit on my reading)

I dunno, I wish there were more books (and better ways to discover new books) that matched Nichijou, Lucky Star, and Azumanga Daioh in terms of plotlessness and vibes. Like the words-only version of a casual slice of life manga, I guess
