Another thing that's been on my delusional mind:
I've been seeing some people say they don't think it's going to happen given the fact of recent chapters. Another I saw said instead of Yato being Tsukuyomi, that he instead becomes Tsukuyomi through his actions and his character development.
I personally still have hope for the Tsukuyomi theory. Logically it's still the most plausible.
I really don't think a single person could have created a god from a wish, no matter how strong that wish's desire.
To me, it's more likely that Trash Dad/The Sorcerer or whatever he is, had either wiped out all the regalia/shinki of Tsukuyomi and or Tsukuyomi himself, and when he reincarnated, took the child god as his own and raised him to be his little war machine. With no regalia/shinki left, no one would know who Yato really is. (Amaterasu I think probably had some kind of clue as to who he is, but that's another matter all together.)
Anyway the point of today is, when this arc is over, and praying everyone except Trash Dad makes it out alive.
I'm expecting Yato to be kinda like, "huh that's odd, totally thought I should be dead now"
Now, here's my two thoughts on why he'd still live after Trash Dad is gone:
1. Hiyori is his new lifeline.
If he truly is Tsukuyomi, then he wouldn't technically have a lifeline. With Tsukuyomi being a major god, it's not as if he relies on a lifeline to be able to reincarnate.
I don't think just by Trash Dad alone Yato was able to survive for practically a thousand years. There has to be more to it.
And come to think of it, TD is assumably a human who was made into a god after death. But, can a god make another god? In the way we are told Yato was made? Through a wish?
(and like wasn't Ebisu the child of Izanagi and Izanami? Or something like that? How does that work. Can or can't gods have biological children I am so confused)
But I'm thinking that if he does end up living through the defeat of TD, the next arc is gonna be Yato trying to deal with an identity crisis.
He was told that if his lifeline died, so would he. But if that turns out to not be true, he would start to wonder if maybe he is actually someone else.
