what the lick read!?

I know we are a ways away from being expert snowboarders but I wanted to talk about professionalism in snowboarding. The Winter X Games is one of the biggest events put on each year in the snowboarding world. Originally, X Games was created to increase the popularity of less mainstream sports. (i.e. snowboarding, skateboarding, exotic diving, etc...) Well it sure helped put snowboarding on some of the biggest platforms the world had ever seen. It wouldn't be long before the most popular American snowboarder, Shaun White, will burst onto the scene. Shaun White burst onto the scene at the 2006 Olympics in Italy where secured a gold medal in the Halfpipe event. This really put snowboarding on the map in the U.S. I may be able to link the video below as there is an awesome interview after he won his first gold medal at 19.
