ok another noah fence post: idgi when those stupid feminist online mags r like “friendships with women are the best!!!! stop competing with other women” but don’t mention anything abt how female socialization can b rly toxic and some ppl who avoid having female friends (i.e. friends in general i.e. myself) arent necessarily doing it cuz men r better n less drama!!!! but because their experiences w women have been overwhelmingly negative. like i dun mean to wax poetic abt ~individualism~ and how /my/ personal experience negates the need for women to start socializing with one another in a healthier way, but it’s rly stupid to just assume that women can undo a lifetime’s worth of toxic socialization and suddenly just become friends with everyone! and those women who dun want to be subjected to Mean Girls (tm) who are Mean (tm) doesn’t mean that they h8 women. like what im saying is that im not gonna suddenly & uncritically throw myself into a sea of female! friendship! where my basis for being friends w ppl is “r u a girl? ok let b frans” bcuz women r still capable of being highly toxic and uninviting even when they purport to embrace ~feminizm & luv 4 all women~
