It’s a skimpy little thing, red and unrealistic and meant to show off her body. She loves it as soon as she sees it for far too many reasons.  The first and most important being that she is a big fan of wearing as little clothes as possible, and on Halloween especially it’s socially acceptable to basically be half naked. She could’ve gone with something more original, but a sexy nurse is comical for far too many reasons in her life. Her date, a guy from work who asked her out but she previously denied, is dressed as a doctor, and she can’t help but think that her favorite actual doctor looks much better in his scrubs.  She loves a good haunting story, and even more horror films are her version of xanax, so she’s thrilled to be spending her Halloween in a haunted house getting drunk and exploring.  So she shows up in a skimpy nurse outfit, arm in arm with someone she’s probably never going to sleep with. already a little tipsy on the three glasses of wine she’s consumed before she got here. Still, she heads straight for the bar, orders a themed cocktail that’s black and swirling with edible glitter. “Okay, who’s going ghost hunting with me? A bitch needs to be spooked.” 

“Watch out!” Nick’s voice was almost drowned out by the blaring car horn as it clipped the corner of the road, turning too quickly with very little warning. Nick’s heart jumped as his body reacted before he could think, reaching forward and yanking the person back before the car could hit them. “Watch where you’re going!” He yelled at the car which sped off like nothing had happened. The driver probably didn’t even realize what they could have done. Turning around he quickly switched gears into worried mode. “Are you okay? Shit- I didn’t  hurt you did I?”

             there’s  a  pit  bull  with  it’s  own  leash  in  its  mouth  barreling  towards  the  other ,     but  he  just  wants  to  play .    his  tail  wags  so  hard  his  whole  back  half  is  wiggling .    and  there  trails  his  owner  after  him ,    looking  harried  as  she  calls  after  him ,    heels  clicking  on  the  pavement .   ‘  rocky !    au pied ! ’   he  bounds  back  to  amandine ,    looking  extremely  proud  of  himself  even  as  she  has  to  tug - of - war  for  his  leash  back .   ‘  sorry .    we’re  on  the  way  to  the  dog  park  and  he’s  ready  to  play . ’

“Don’t act surprised, this is very much a me thing to do,” Alexa said as the other approached, her gaze only flicking away from the little girl, no older than six or seven, in front of her for a moment to take their appearance in. 

“So, I bought a couple of cupcakes, you know, to treat myself, and they gave me extra because it was closing time. Do you want one? Just don’t eat the salted caramel one, I’m dying to devour it,” the Australian offered.

“Okay. I NEED a drink. Care to join me?” The male huffed out as he collapsed onto the bar stool, “I was hooking up with this guy and his WIFE walked in. The fucker failed to mention that he was married…and to a woman. And I’m just grateful I still have my balls.” Spencer took it upon himself to reach over the bar to grab a bottle of whiskey and a couple of glasses, “Hope you like whiskey.”

“So I’ve just been stood up again which is…you know…to be expected I guess but still stings. I bet he took one look at me and was like ‘Oh ew, NOPE. Too many limbs…too many freckles, not enough abs’” The pianist sighed in defeat, swallowing thickly as he gave a shake of his head, “Once this girl in 5th grade told me that I’m freakishly tall which was why she couldn’t be my girlfriend and I’ve been insecure about that ever since. You think that’s it? Am I like freakishly tall?”
