This isn’t even a case of women romanticising a character that they shouldn’t (which is quite common). It’s men actually identifying with this character! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'm loving the Sky celebrations! Happy birthday Sky people 🥳 🎂 but this was kinda random though (in a good way) 😅

For years I’ve been haunted by the movie Titanic (like lots of people!), especially the character of Rose DeWitt Bukater and her journey. I’ve often had dreams about her life after the sinking and for some reason those dreams usually included a flower shop 💐 this is set during the 1920s when she kinda stopped acting but before she met her husband. I haven’t really captured Kate Winslet's likeness very much but I’m not too concerned about that. I’m just happy to share my dreams with you all 😘

Watched this movie recently called 'The Ugly Stepsister' and it’s retelling of the Cinderella story (from the ugly stepsister’s perspective obviously). It’s a black comedy but it also works well as a strong feminist piece. It’s not for everyone! I will say that but it’s message about how dangerous the convention of "perfect physical beauty" can be to women who both do and don’t fall into that category - the Cinderella character Agnes is put through all sorts of grief because she is beautiful and her stepsister Elvira is put through all kinds of medieval torture to become "beautiful"💔 Personally I found the whole thing to be very moving, but that’s just me 🤷🏼‍♀️

What can I say (besides the fact that I’m obsessed with Mia Goth)? I just love Maxine! To me she’s the ultimate feminist fantasy. No matter how much trauma she’s put through she doesn’t just survive, she strives. She knows what she wants in life and she doesn’t let anyone get in her way! Is she flawless? Of course not but it’s hard not to admire her ✨ I will not accept a life I do not deserve - should be everyone’s mantra 🙅🏼‍♀️
