my bpd 10 sec later: IDENTITY CRISIS, MOTHERFUCKER

This blog is pro-self-diagnosis. And here's why. I was self-diagnosed until I had the safety of going to a pro-trans psychiatrist (mod confirmed for trans yes). Even then, my diagnosis exists nowhere on paper, and it's the same with my Aspergers (which was also self diagnosed). I have both but being diagnosed officially so late in life was a bit of a curse in that now I had answers but, what else would I have if it was on paper? Stigma. My therapist and I chose together to keep me and my diagnosis under wraps, and the reason I was able to do that is because my self-diagnosis gave me the information to stop internalizing my borderline episodes and embrace my special interests (taking the embarrassment out of them). Sorry if this makes no sense or isn't cohesive I'm just. Tired of anti-self-dxers.

I’d be lying if I said I could give a definitive answer. Don’t go to art school kids I’m dying inside and I want to go home and I should probably delete this blog because maintaining it is a struggle

I saved the post telling y’ll i was going on vacation in drafts instead of posting it wow this is embarrassing... Will try to have new queue up and running tomorrow.

I’m no medical professional, but I always think a second opinion is valuable in the field of mental health and physical health! If you aren’t totally satisfied with your therapist then it’s totally okay to go find another one.
