Roman's stunt with the kid at the park remains the most sickening thing to happen on the show, but it's such a perfect introduction to his character. Roman is the kid with approval being dangled over his head and then torn up in front of him. His whole life he's been set up to bat by his father, always destined for failure.

Just want everyone to also remember that Tom Wambsgans had the choice to let the kid get to home or tag that kid out at third base and he took the tag oh so sorry kid you nearly made it
