So, about Fersen. How do people completely forget him? Oscar's whole personal dilemma the front half of the story is that she is torn between her duty to the queen and her love for Fersen. She is up against the ancien régime and personal desires for the first time. She sees the queen as so high above her, she is "ordained by god". There is a noticeable distance between them, that you can tell Oscar feels. Oscar doesn't get to have what she wants here because of this hierarchy. She doesn't feel allowed to speak her feelings, because of her duty and who her duty is to. It takes years for her to work up to doing anything about it. When she does, its not just about getting closure and letting go of her feelings for Fersen, its the first time she doesn't choose duty. Completely pointless plotline.

I love how confused Haruna Yuri André always looks in these old pictures, dude does not know what's going on in his life and seems generally suspicious of everything around him.

And why do people keep trying to say Ikeda is year 24…she really isn’t and their qualifiers make little sense.
