It’s a complete possibility! I’m really enjoying the new series. And, in the perfect world, I would’ve loved creating the cards along with the episodes each week. But, my schedule doesn’t allow for it right now. So, watch this space, because it’s definitely coming in the future!

Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card Manga [Vol 1]

I read this a while ago and since I haven’t posted anything here for a while, I thought I might share this with Y'all. Has everyone been enjoying the new anime so far? I’m very pleased with it so far. (Warning, semi-spoilers ahead)

Anything any show has a reboot with a new season, I’m always skeptical about it. And, with Sakura starting all over capturing new cards, I thought that they’re milking the same cow again. But, it’s oddly charming. It’s wonderful to see how Sakura’s relationship with her family and friends has grown. And, the new visual effects, are fantastic! Also, wouldn’t you say Tomoyo’s singing has improved tremendously? Plus, Syaoran+Sakura is ‘melt-your-heart-adorbs!’

The only thing that I’m upset at, so far, is the timeline of the anime. The manga continues where it left off from the old volumes, but the anime is so confusing. Did Sakura ever create the Nameless? (which, BTW, is my favorite card, so it better be canon) Did the Nothing card and the (adorable) play ever happen? What happened at the airport? From the flashback, it looked like only Syaoran gave Sakura the teddy, but Kero-Chan claimed that she stayed up all night making a teddy for him. I’m so confused!

All the critiques aside, I’m super excited to see what’s revealed about Akiho. No one ever arrives at Tomoeda in the middle of the school year without causing Sakura trouble (other than Mizuki-sensei, I guess). But, in true Cardcaptor Sakura fashion, people do bad things, but no one’s a bad person. So, I’m guessing that Akiho is probably gonna stay the gem that she is till the end! (Also, I’m reading the manga after I watch the respective anime episode, so no spoilers if you already know! Thanks!).

What Font used in your cards?

Hey @igormarx , here’s a fun fact, the name of the card is not written using any font. It’s hand drawn/written on each card. I did that because I couldn’t find any font that closely resembled the ones on Clow Cards.

The Earthy Family

These set of cards come under the Earthy card. Notice the characteristic bronze accent colour of the cards.

(The anime didn’t create family colours. In the anime, each card had it’s own personal accent colour. I decided to do it this way to identify the families easily)

The Earthy

How smart is Sakura for figuring that she could capture Earthy by using Wood? But the best part of this episode is definitely when Yue is finally revealed. Chills!

The Twin

Meiling’s flashback of why she’s in love with Syaoran is just adorable. It makes me feel bad that he doesn’t love her back. But what’s amazing about her is that, this doesn’t stop her from rooting for Syaoran & Sakura.

She’s the prefect addition to the anime. Wish even the manga had her.

Sister Cards - Dark & Light

I found it very interesting how in both the manga & anime, they reinforced the fact that Light & Dark always go together. As Clow Cards, they had to be captured together, and had to be transformed into Sakura Cards together. And, I love the logic behind it. Because light can’t exist without the dark. And darkness can’t exist without light. Kudos Clamp! This is wonderful.

Are you going to do the new clear cards?

Nope, I’m gonna end this with the Clow Cards. I’m not even going to be making the Sakura Cards, due to lack of time. Also, I’ve the read the series so far & it’s not really to my liking so far. It’s very similar to the original storyline. But nevertheless, I’m excited to see where this goes!

Even if I were to create them, I’d wait for the anime to come out. As they should have a higher set of Clear Cards.

The Light

One of the most interesting questions Sakura asks in this episode is ‘If it’s dark everywhere, why can I see myself?’

Hey guys, I know it's been a really long time since I last posted a card. I've got so many wonderful questions and messages from you guys since then. So here are the answers to the most asked questions. When will you release the last three cards? I'm very sorry, but in this past year I've been so caught up with work that I've had barely enough time to eat or sleep. And I have been neglecting personal projects. Which sucks, because these things help me stay clam and make me feel productive outside of work. I might not be able to get back to it immediately right now, but I hope to get them done by the end of this year. Can I print the cards? I'm sorry no. I'm not comfortable with people printing them out for personal or (especially) commercial use. You can however print out the line drawings of the cards and use it for practicing colouring (personal use only).
