Hi again! This is my first ever top 5 Wednesday, and I’m so excited!

This weeks topic is top 5 non-con ships! These are ships that you love but sadly were never a thing, or didn’t end up together in the end. To be honest, I tried to keep this to books, but it was hard because I have way more non-con ships in TV shows. In the end I narrowed it down to three book ships and two TV show ships. These are in no particular order, because I’m bad at making decisions.

1. Max and Liesel from “The Book Thief”

Now, obviously I don’t ship them during most of the book, when Liesel is only a child and Max is basically an adult. I’m a little creepy, but I’m not quite that creepy. What I wanted to happen was for it to be revealed that they got together later in life, in the epilogue. I really thought it was going to happen too, but sadly it didn’t. In my mind they got together.

2. Noah Czerny and Blue Sargent from “The Raven Cycle”

I know, I know. This was never going to happen. It wouldn’t work on so many different levels. But I love them together. Every time there was a scene with them together, my little fangirl heart exploded. And the scene where they practiced kissing almost killed me. I try not to think about how things ended with Noah in the last book, I think it was unjust. But I like to remember the good times.

3. Puck and Meghan from “The Iron Fey Series”

It’s been a while since I read this series, and I honestly don’t remember too much. But I do remember the anguish I felt when Meghan continuously chose the boring Ash over the hilarious and adorable Puck. They would come so close and then... nothing. It actually lowered my enjoyment of the story because I shipped them so hard and it was clear they were never going to end up together.

4. Oz and Willow from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”

These two awesome nerds are my fav. Disclaimer: just because I ship them doesn’t mean I love Tara any less. But I love Oz and Willow’s relationship, and I’m eternally said they didn’t work out. Oz should have come back in season seven, and they should have been a thing again. Oz is just so stoic and sexy, but when he does talk he’s super intelligent and hilarious. And him and Willow together make my heart flutter.

5. Vanessa Ives and Literally Everyone in “Penny Dreadful”

Hi all! Since this is my first post I thought I would introduce myself. I’m Kayla, I’m 23 years old and a senior in college. I’m currently double majoring in psychology and English. I hope to someday be a published author and to get involved in the publishing world. If it wasn’t already clear, I’m very passionate about literature. I wasn’t into reading as a child, but got into it during middle school and have been obsessed ever since. I know it’s stereotypical, but yes it was “Twilight” that formed my loving of reading. “Twilight” and “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton. Around that time I also became obsessed with collecting books, and my collection quickly grew to an absurd amount. I currently have over one-thousand books in my possession. I’ve maybe read 10-15 percent of all the books I own.

I primarily read young adult fiction, but have been branching out recently and reading other genres. On here I’m going to be doing reviews, wrap ups, recommendation lists, top five Wednesdays, and whatever else I can think of. I’m open to suggestions! If you have an questions for me, please feel free to leave them in my ask and I’ll answer them!
