- All the people who decorate weddings and are so happy

- This couple who looked for lining for the guy’s favourite leather jacket and were a bit disappointed first with the striped linings we had, but then they told me they just wanted something not so ‘flat-coloured’ and then we just found the perfect fabric and they kept saying how perfect it was and how happy they were.

- These fashionstudents who come by all the time and who are just so nice and full of smiles when you see them.

- This super sweet french guy who is just hte cutest and brought a friend along the other day who was just so cute as well and I just love them

- All the people who basically don’t know anythign and whom I can help to calculate / give tips / think of colours and prints / etc. They’re always so happy and I love it.

- This sweeeeeet amazingly awesome looking girl who was always a dancer but then got a real bad knee injury and then discovered fashion and had all these nice ideas and then found a bunch of cool fabric in the discount corner and we had real nice conversation and she was so happy with her finds “I honestly jsut bought a goldmine! I’m so happy”

- Little girls who just started sewing 

- This really awesome dad who always takes his cool son and I can’t explain it but they’re jsut so insanely cool.

- People who make awesome things and tell me about it and it’s amazing what people do.

- “So I am looking for a 2 meter wide fabric, black, cotton, not too thin, nice looking, strong, and CHEAP.”

- “Ahh yes this is what I want, but don’t you have it for 1 euro or so?”

- “I bought this item of clothing at H&M but I bought it too small and now I need you to find the EXACT fabric to make it bigger.” “I have something that looks really a lot like it? Or you can just go for the same material in a nice contrasting color?” “No, it needs to be EXACTLY this fabric!”

- “COME HELP ME.”

- “Grab that fabric that’s really high up and heavy for me. No I don’t like it. Grab that other fabric also really high up and even heavier. No I don’t like it. Grab twenty more fabrics. No I hate htem all. I’m going to look around in another store bye.”

*getting fabric that’s already reduced in price and buying 2 or 3 meters or so.* “SOoooooo. Now you make me a special price!” 

“So now you give me a discount.”

“Cut me some extra! Give me more! Give me some free extra!”

“WILL YOU CUT IT STRAIGHT THOUGH??????” *standing so close to me I can’t possibly cut it straight or at all*

“I want to see that one” *pointing at a fabric that is right in front of them and a super tiny roll and easy to grab*

- People who don’t say ‘please’ and thank you and just generally boss me around.

- People who are texting / calling / doing all other things while I’m helping them and don’t say anything like “sorry I had to take htis, oro do tihs or whatever.”

- People talking to me in a language I don’t understand without even asking if I speak it and then getting upset when I don’t understand and then just keep talking all kind of difficult things and what do you want me to do????

Me: How long ago was this?

Her: Like, maybe 20 years or so?

Me: Of course you can!

Girl: *abruptly lets a roll of fabric fall out of her hands on the dirty floor which is also just street-tiles full of dust because it's on the market and we don't have a front door*

Me: Not on the floor of course!!!

Me: *shows them where to find everything*

Them: *spend almost half an hour gathering all the fabrics they need from all over the store*

Them: Okay we found everything, now can we have this but cheap?

Me: Like, the same colour or the same material or?

Them: No, like the exact same but cheap.

Me: It's 1.40 m.

Costumer: Ahh. But I need it in 1.60 m.

Me: Well, this is the only one we have like this and it's 1.40, otherwise you would need to find another fabric.

Costumer: Okay yes I get it..

Costumer: *thinks for a bit and then looks up like she found a solution*

Costumer: Okay! I want this exact fabric, but 1.60 m wide!
