My name is Ahmed, and I am a father of two young children. I am writing to you today from Egypt with a heart full of pain and fear for the safety of my family.

My wife and my children, Amir (1.5 years old) and Malak (1 month old), are currently in the midst of the war raging in Gaza.

My family is living in a desperate situation, as they are being subjected to indiscriminate shelling and lack food, medicine, and basic necessities. Every day they pass through is like a never-ending nightmare, fearing for their lives and their future.

I implore you, kind people, to lend a helping hand to help me raise the funds necessary to evacuate my family from Gaza. Every dollar/euro/pound you donate will help save their lives and bring them to safety in Egypt.

On 7/10/2023, a fierce war broke out in Gaza, a war that destroyed everything in my life and my family's. We were displaced, moving from place to place, with no means for sustaining life. I am deeply discouraged by this genocide, which destroyed everything, including my eco-friendly office and factory, my greatest achievements in Gaza. It took me a long time to build them, and it took years to establish this project. Now, everything is rubble from the occupation's bombardment, and I am now in Rafah.

Every day, I ask myself, how long will this genocide continue? I am afraid of losing my life.

I am Ruba, 24 years old. I am originally from northern Gaza, but now I am displaced to Rafah due to the dangerous situation there. Today marks day 216 of the war, and the attacks are relentless. The situation is heading towards genocide, dispersion, and displacement.

do you understand what it means to be in a position where you’ve been displaced time and time again, just to get to the only supposed safe area that you have been ordered to go to by a force that’s so much stronger than you as an unarmed civilian, just to be told that you can’t be there anymore ? and that is after you have lost everything, like your home, your memories, your friends, family members and loved ones, your job, and everything that you’ve worked so hard in order to achieve…

We have no shelter, everything we had has been bombed, and there are no words to describe the magnitude of the collapse we are experiencing and the suffering we are enduring. We are in danger, and at any moment we could lose our lives.

I hope you can help and support me and my family as soon as possible.

However, as promising as this opportunity is, it comes with its own set of challenges. Living expenses, accommodation, and basic needs in Turkey are beyond what Mohammed can afford. He needs to raise $14,000 (GFM processing fees included) to cover hisliving expenses for the 12 months he will be in Turkey and he aims to dedicate a sizable amount towards evacuation funds for his aunt's family in Gaza. This amount will secure a room to rent, daily necessities, and allow him to focus on his studies as he provides a lifeline for his family.

This is where we need your support. No amount is too small, and 100% of what you contribute will go towards covering Mohammed's living expenses in Turkey and his family's evacuation funds. I am sad to tell you that Israel army invaded Rafah now. My other family members were displaced for 7th time!

Her family had just evacted from Rafah and has headed to Al-Wusta. They have no drinking water, no food, and no medical aid in this area.

Her mother is extremely at risk as she is diabetic and they have no access to any hospitals or medical necessities.

She has two daughter, 7 year old Wateen and 4 year old Naya. And is married to Muhammad Al-Thalateeni who is a photojournalist who suffered a head injury at the beginning of the war.

Their goal is €20,000 they have less than €200

Soon after her arrival they realized that she was pregnant, and so she came into foster care at Forgotten Felines. She had her kittens at the end of July, has been an exceptionally caring Mama to them, and now it's time for her to find a home where she can be the baby.⁠ ⁠ Uhura is a very sweet, friendly, confident girl who will meet you at the door with her tail held high. She loves to be petted; she's not so sure about being kissed, but she's learning to tolerate it with good humor. She has an instant purr - as soon as you pet her, she purrs like crazy. She loves to keep you company no matter what you're doing, and will occasionally come over to see if you need help. She's been so busy keeping an eye on and caring for her kittens that she hasn't had much time to play, but now that they're older and don't require so much supervision, her playful, goofy side is coming out. She loves batting at feather teasers, really likes having soft toys tossed for her, and adores ping pong balls. She prefers vertical scratchers to horizontal (though she'll use horizontal too, if that's all there is), and is really good about confining her claw-sharpening to scratchers. When she's not playing, she likes to knead for a while on a soft blanket, then curl up for a good long nap. She has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on her vaccinations.⁠

edit: tysm stranger, our bank is now at -$42 instead of -$63 (I had a forgotten $10 in Venmo so that also helped to transfer to bank as well!). this doesn't sound like a big difference, but honestly it's a relief and very appreciated!!
