After a tense confrontation with an escaped Caitlyn and hearing Vi plead for her life, Jinx seems to yield.

We see her look around as if in contemplation, then slowly took a few steps back.

After being told to "drop the gun" a second time, Jinx finally put the handgun on the table...right in front of Silco.

We all know Powder/Jinx is incredibly intelligent. It appears to me the decision to put the handgun within Silco's reach is a deliberate one. (Silco would later grab the gun and attempt to shoot Vi.)

Silco was the only participant at the tea party who had no qualms with killing his opponents. Despite the peculiarity of the moment, Jinx knows Silco would come to her defense if anything happened to her.

This actually shows how much Jinx trusts her adoptive father even after the statue scene.

If Caitlyn shot Jinx, Silco would most likely grab the gun and fire at Caitlyn. Given the Kiramman's diverted attention and without Jinx there to stop him (why would she?), Silco would not have missed like in canon.

(I would also like to add that being shot has much graver consequences for Caitlyn compared to Jinx, who is enhanced by Shimmer.)

It's the bad guys who got the best hugs in this show.

Like Lux is betrayed and exiled from Demacia, and she ends up in Piltover. She befriends Cait and Vi and they get her to join as an enforcer. Things are looking up for Lux and she likes her job but she begins to see the same patterns of brutality and hatred between Piltover and Zaun that she knew in Demacia. Is she always going to play cop while not actually living by her morals? Who is she really protecting?

Then she has a fateful run in with Jinx. Jinx who gets her issues with Piltover and the enforcers, and who understands what it feels like to be an outsider. Who understands what it feels like to be betrayed. She’s intrigued and so is Jinx. Who is this mage who friends with her sister and her girlfriend, but understands her so much better than anyone else ever did? Overtime they meet up, Jinx takes her on adventures, Lux shows her magic, they send secret letters to each other, etc. They start falling for one another, and then it all starts to implode. Cait and Vi find out and they want Lux to help them lure Jinx into custody, for her own good. But Lux knows what Jinx has done, and knows that even family can’t save you when an entire kingdom wants you gone…
