People on tiktok don’t seem to understand what reviews are/don’t think reviews of things should exist. There was an entire drama because a woman went to a local coffee shop and was like ”this two drink in one drink is as big as one regular drink but costs as much as two. It cost [price]” and everyone on TikTok got extremely mad at her because they thought the price was reasonable and the company even defended their price (the no 1 way to make me hate a company is for them to respond to reviews, even if they’re in the right which they weren’t this was a normal review) and I’m just like ”but everything she said in her review is true?? She’s allowed not to like the price or the size of the drink”. Like truly such a non issue that seemingly every person on TikTok had an issue with.
And then today I see an AITA post about a guy who went to a restaurant, ordered, and then was told they actually weren’t serving food anymore and several people on TikTok including the video creator think the guy is the asshole because he wrote a review about it?? I would want to know if a restaurant is going to tell me I actually can’t have food after they take my order so actually this guy was the opposite of an asshole.
Also the whole negative reviews of books are mean thing. I really don’t want the author to see my review, that’s one of the reasons I regret reading a book by a popular tumblr user because I really don’t want to talk about it on tumblr where the author is likely to see it bc tumblr search hates everyone.
