Some info about them

(This is actually kinda old I just decided to revive it yippee) I originally had chise be a fox/kitsune because of her fox transformation but in Japanese folklore foxes are tricksters who transform into people to get a free home, steal things, or manipulate other people. It didn't fit chise's personality at all so I thought of a robin but there weren't any robins in Japan and I kinda just didn't know what creature to make her.

I eventually stumbled into the "Tsuru no Nyobo" tale where a man rescues an injured crane.

U can skip this if u want (and the next day a beautiful woman arrives at his door asking him to marry her. The woman would ask the man every night to promise her that he would never look in her room and the next day she would give him beautiful expensive silk to sell. The woman got more and more sick everyday so one day the man peeked into her room and saw the crane weaving silk for him out of her feathers which was making her sick and he asked her to stop doing this and that she didn't need to but since he broke their promise and her trust she left him. I thought the story fit chise perfectly so I made her a Japanese crane I also gave her the three eyes that the red dragon has. Elias had a bolo tie from rahab so I made it so that rahab gave chise a hairpin instead that Elias later receives.

For Elias, it didn't make sense for him to act the way he does in the swap like he did in the original bc he's living alongside people so I made him a sociopath. He became one because of his environment and that "politeness" is just him masking. I didn't make him a bad person ofc and he'll have chise to guide him :)

The marriage thing will also still be his idea and he'll be the one proposing like in the og ep 1.

I truly cannot fathom why Elias of all characters gets bara-fied so frequently meanwhile the monsterfuckers are completely asleep on him.

You befriended Chise at the College in her first year. You watched her closely, studying her, taking in every little piece of information about her that she was willing to share. And share she did. You thought of your own cruel parents, a controlling, selfish mother and a violent father. How nice it would have been if they had just gone away.

Chise told you she lived with her master, a mage named Ainsworth and that he had saved her from her cruel previous life. You heard rumors from the faculty that Chise was more than just his apprentice. You felt the bitter sting of envy stir inside your heart.
