          this isn’t the first time that violet’s caught him staring - more like the millionth time, honestly - and she’s sure it won’t be the last. she’s not stupid though; she’s been able to piece together why it’s been happening so often as of late. or maybe it’s been happening for a long while and she never noticed until here recently, but whatever the case may be, she can tell what’s going on.

          something akin to a smirk tugs lightly at her lips as she finally speaks up. “ y’know, maybe you should take a picture. it’ll last longer. ” if they actually had any cameras to take pictures with. “ then again, i dunno which would freak him out more– you staring like a creepy person or you taking his picture like a creepy person. ” stop being creepy, mitch.

          He’s no fool. There was no denying that sooner or later, someone would have to notice his incessant watching, no matter how hard he always tries to hide it or how careful he thought he was being in keeping it his big, hopeless secret. Subtly isn’t his forte, and it’s come to bite him in the ass far more times than he could ever hope to count.

          It certainly doesn’t mean he has to admit to anything now that Violet’s caught on, however. Unfortunately, nor does it mean he’s any more ready to expect it now that it’s finally come, and there’s simply nothing he can do to stop the painfully obvious deer in headlights look that’s immediately sent her way.

          hmmm… being special has nothing to do with it. louis can’t show favoritism, after all. and since mitch is asking him to do that, he’ll just leave instead. sorry, not sorry, mitch. but his piano is calling his name, so if you’ll excuse him…

          well, as far as louis is concerned, a smile and thanks should be more than enough to show that he appreciates it. if that’s not good enough for mitch, he doesn’t know what to tell him.

          oh well, he tried. guess there’s nothing else he can do. he’ll just have to do without any birthday wishes from mitch, i guess. so sad.

          oh don’t mind him. he’s just waiting for someone to acknowledge his birthday.
