For those who don't remember, here's the lawsuit two years ago where Tumblr (or specifically Automattic) settled with the New York City Commission on Human Rights regarding Tumblr's terribly implemented porn ban targeting LGBTQ folk more than it should. Here's an excerpt detailing what the NYCCHR ordered Tumblr to do:
The settlement gives Tumblr 180 days to hire an expert on sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) issues and provide related training to moderators. It must also hire someone with experience in this area as well as expertise in image classification, who will review Tumblr’s moderation algorithms to see if they’re more likely to flag LGBTQ content. As part of an overall review, Tumblr will reexamine 3,000 old cases where a user successfully appealed a takedown, looking for patterns that could indicate bias.
Now, on a totally unrelated note, here's the complaint page for reporting discrimination to the NYCCHR. Completely unrelated to what's going on right now or the rest of this post, I swear.

I have an RP blog on a separate firefox profile and periodically tumblr logs it out and I have no idea why since it doesn't seem to happen to my main blog. Always scares me a little because it makes me wonder if it got banned by mistake somehow. Anybody else dealing with this?
I watched strange world a few nights ago. Pretty interesting callback to old adventure serials, but my god, did its attempts at humor flop. I cannot recall another mainstream animated film where every single joke failed to land. Most 'how do you do fellow kids' writing I've ever seen from disney. I think it particularly stuck out to me because I'd watched zootopia 2 just before and that movie is genuinely quite funny.
The film was exponentially better when it focused on the family drama and sci-fi elements (even if the drama was pretty cliche at best). It was really creative with its setting and creature design. Something about the human characters was offputting to me though, I think something about how their eyes were done. I also got pretty tired of the dog but it was not as offensive of an animal sidekick as it could have been.

I am finally writing my Cadetavo fic... As usual it follows the whole timeloop hc I have going on. There's a lot of exposition in this first chapter and zero romance but the next one will be more low-key and dare I say cozy.
hey guys i fucking hate to ask yet again but I need help with transportation to my doctors fees. I am a trans jew disabled guy still fighting for disability and have been having a mysterious and persistent issue regarding my GERD that is causing me to reach and gag daily, including spitting up what I believe was a tiny spot of ulcerated tissue. I have like four upcoming appointments to try to settle this and potentially two surgeries but I dont have the money to get to the clinics im supposed to see due to a massive fuck up by the people who pay me regarding my end date.
so it means I won't be paid in time to cover all this. can anyone afford to help? if you can, even five dollars is a huge help toward my transportation fees; one of my doctors costs literally 60 to go to and from, and the neurologist and ENT and GI are all also about thr same so im just kinda fucked.
anything helps. can show proof of my upcoming appts and distance and even my employers' fuck up if need be.

I've been to two of my doctors and was told I lost 33 lbs in a month so now they are concerned and taking me seriously. I see a GI in two weeks that will cost 60 to get back and forth from plus i need an endoscopy separately. anything at all is a major help as I was told I dont qualify for medical rides.
ntm we just got hit by a 230 dollar bill we weren't supposed to pay. my dad has tried to dispute but no one is helping us and we are royally fucked lol.
my biggest concern is my health though. h Pylori is a cancer causing bacteria and reinfection that I have to sit with will cause issues.
my dermatology clinic genuinely just sent me a 600 dollar bill over cancer biopsies ðŸ«
uuughhhh i need to finish up this fic chapter so bad. its so much exposition which i don't love but is also kinda necessary. i will probably post it in two parts and have some actual character moments once the exposition is done.
