I've been thinking about the theory that Octavo tried to stop Ganon in order to prevent his own death, but I'm not sure it actually holds up. The Fate here seems to imply that she gave Octavo this fortune at the time he went to steal her thread, in which case he was already in the process of making the Lute. "Serves him right" as in the fortune was punishment for the theft.
That, along with the fact that Octavo never mentions this as a motivation and only talks about stopping Ganon, but that's weaker evidence imo. I can speculate that he just didn't want to bring that up to the people who were trying to stop him.
(of course, if you like that theory, that's perfectly fine. the timeline in this game is kind of an enormous mess. i'm just extrapolating from what little information we do have.)
working out a design for Rift octavo. while I was originally gonna make him more punk-looking I wanted to incorporate more of his canon design elements, hence him wearing his original tailcoat like a tattered cape. If the necrodancer can get a cool cape why can't he?? however i am also planning on adding patches to it battle-jacket style. the cowboy boots are for his violin horse gimmick.

yeah dude. we get it. you're fixated on the one person who ever made you feel seen, who ever really got you, and the thought of trying to love someone in her place feels like an insult. you never told her how you feel. you never so much as held her hand. you don't even know if she felt the same.

For those who don't remember, here's the lawsuit two years ago where Tumblr (or specifically Automattic) settled with the New York City Commission on Human Rights regarding Tumblr's terribly implemented porn ban targeting LGBTQ folk more than it should. Here's an excerpt detailing what the NYCCHR ordered Tumblr to do:
The settlement gives Tumblr 180 days to hire an expert on sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) issues and provide related training to moderators. It must also hire someone with experience in this area as well as expertise in image classification, who will review Tumblr’s moderation algorithms to see if they’re more likely to flag LGBTQ content. As part of an overall review, Tumblr will reexamine 3,000 old cases where a user successfully appealed a takedown, looking for patterns that could indicate bias.

I have an RP blog on a separate firefox profile and periodically tumblr logs it out and I have no idea why since it doesn't seem to happen to my main blog. Always scares me a little because it makes me wonder if it got banned by mistake somehow. Anybody else dealing with this?
I watched strange world a few nights ago. Pretty interesting callback to old adventure serials, but my god, did its attempts at humor flop. I cannot recall another mainstream animated film where every single joke failed to land. Most 'how do you do fellow kids' writing I've ever seen from disney. I think it particularly stuck out to me because I'd watched zootopia 2 just before and that movie is genuinely quite funny.
The film was exponentially better when it focused on the family drama and sci-fi elements (even if the drama was pretty cliche at best). It was really creative with its setting and creature design. Something about the human characters was offputting to me though, I think something about how their eyes were done. I also got pretty tired of the dog but it was not as offensive of an animal sidekick as it could have been.
